Pakistan's economy was better till 90's so many cricketers were confident and punched above their weight but not sure how India was below, we were second team(first Asian team) to win the WC, 1985 Champions trophy defeating Pak in final.. first T20 WC..

Now our system is in place and hopefully we will unearth many confident cricketers as well.. don't think it has anything to do with talent, Mohinder Amarnath might be amazingly talented as per Pakistani definition but has underachieved in terms of Indian definition.

Indians get accused of hero worshipping but I think Pakistanis are way worse when it comes to that. I have seen opinions of Sachin,Gavaskar,Kapil etc being ridiculed by the fans. In fact I would say Kapil is in the same league as Miandad when it comes to saying outlandish stuff.

However Pakistanis are still stuck on the Inzamam is greater than Sachin, or Pakistanis having special genetics that makes them super fast or Pakistan has a lot of talent type statements as gospel (figure of speech not a religious connotation)

Yadav,Shami are all from UP, Srinath was from the South,Ishant is a Brahmin from Delhi etc etc.

Indian Olympic medal winners have been from South as well. I am excluding the ones from Haryana,Punjab because for arguments sake only they are close to the Pakistani counterparts.

Use some rational thinking people. Just because someone was good in their field doesn’t make them an intellectual or a philosopher.
