Indian immigrants preferred over Pakistanis and Bangladeshis – Why?

One thing we can be assured of Bangladeshis languishing at the near bottom in the UK amongst the immigrants. Got the stats if anyone needs them from HOC and ONS. So much for above average BD IQ :shakib

Nope mate, Indians are better than Bangladeshis. South Indians are better than North Indians. Punjabis on either side of the border are same, Gujaratis will scam everyone.
Tbh I prefer Bangladeshis to all Indians except Punjabis and those Indian Muslims that speak posh Lucknow Urdu.

I have worked with Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Africans, Caribbeans, whites, East Asians (Chinese, Japanese etc.), and Latinos.

I have to say I enjoy working with white people and East Asians the most. They tend to be drama-free and very efficient/practical.

From a work perspective then hands down I enjoy working with Indians.

They are highly educated and less likely to take short cuts than other ethnic groups.

Pakistani and Bangladeshis sometimes have a chip on their shoulder. Instead of respecting hierarchy they get annoyed when they are lower down on the ladder. Indians have fire in the belly to climb up but the other countries try their best to pull you down.

From a socialising perspective then I prefer Punjabis from either country and Bangladeshis we have a lot in common with too so there is some good laughs.

South Indians are alien to Pakistanis and Gujarati are bloody racists

To go further I prefer Pakistani restaurants/balti/karahi houses over the diabolical Bangladeshi curry places that masquerade as Indian restaurants with gloopy sugary curries.

I also do not like to visit Bangladeshi stores even though I am a Bangladeshi. I eat Bangladeshi foods at home anyway. No need to visit.

I generally visit Mexican and Arab stores. I like their foods. Big fan of burrito and shawarma.

Only thing I hate about working with fellow Indians is the crab mentality amongst the recently arrived. 2nd generation are more chilled and play less politics.

Hmm that's interesting as I see that more amongst Pakistanis. If you ask me I wouldn't have thought it was common amongst Indians. Maybe they behave that way towards Indians and not others.

Pakistani karahi places for me for hearty meaty fare.

Might just be my observation, but have had a few bitter experiences with newly onshore consultants from India and working with offshore Indian consultants, playing petty politics and "brown" nosing. Finance though not IT.

Never worked with offshore Pakistanis or newly arriveds- so cant say about them.

Do you reply according to the thread title or the content of the original post?

Yes. I tend to. But, discussions can sometimes go off-topic. I try to minimize.
