New Delhi: Indian Navy today successfully test-fired the Brahmos land attack supersonic cruise missile in the Bay of Bengal, joining an elite club of navies to have capability to strike on land targets from sea. The long-range missile was fired from guided missile frigate Teg on a target on land and it yielded desired results, a top navy official said.

The BrahMos Missile has been jointly developed by India and Russia, and its anti-ship variant has already been inducted into Indian Navy.

Navies of the US, Russia, Britain and China have similar strike capabilities.

Do we really need one that can shoot from sea to land ? How about we stick to one that can shoot from Gujarath, Punjab or Rjasthan to Pakistan and call it a day? That will give us enough satisfaction.

We all know India can target Pak like we can them as well. Now using them is actually a very different thing!! I don't think so!:farhat

Had an opportunity to read more in details about Brahmos missiles and i am proud to know that its one of the absolute best in the world right now in terms of technology and potential impact.

More of these are being made which amplifies our strength in the region.

Brahmos is literally ungradable by any known technology.

Wonder how many of them destroyed in Beas as claimed by Pak Army
They are not your regular ballistic missiles. Can't be shot down easily. India claims they destroyed 4 airbases in Pakistan with Brahmos.
Pakistan claimed they destroyed Brahmos storage facilities in Jammu.

You take your choice on who to believe.

Brahmos was really effective in this conflict. Direct hits on Nur Khan , Bholari, Rahim Yar Khan runway.

Pakistan AD was really ineffective against the missile if it cant protect an airbase right in the capital. The initial set of strikes had the surprise element but the second wave was being expected by Pakistan armed forces and still not stopped

One thing is proven so far.

PAF is better than IAF. Chinese Jets better than Russian and French ones.

However, Pakistani missiles are not match for Indian cruise missiles.

India has proven again and again that its Jets are not modern enough and ineffective when dealing with enemy Jets. We can blame the Jets or the Pilots. But the fact is IAF needs better Jets and skilled pilots. India has the money. They need to strike a deal with US for F-35 and solid training from them.

India also has to invest in drone tech. Pakistan got them from Turkey has proven to be a massive boost in their arsenal.

Pakistan will definitely look to counter Brahmos in future and infact go one step ahead , the maniac in charge knows what to do!

I dont think US will sell F-35 to any country that has the S-400. Also It just increases the problem of integrating multiple different technologies. So the individual pieces look awesome on paper but the result is not up to the mark

India has spent enough money on Russian and Euro weapons. They have proven to be ineffective.

They need to look at American tech. The best and the latest. They are tried and tested.

Pak drones proved as utter disappointment. Shelling done more damage than them.they have sent swarm of 400 to 500 drones with all combinations of missiles, bombs etc.s400 ad was more than sufficient apart from few hits.they need something like Israel drones where they were stealthy enough to break ads.

BrahMos is the world’s fastest, most precise, and most versatile battle tested supersonic cruise missile in active service today.

Its better than American Tomahawks, Russian Oniks and the European Storm Shadow. A matter of huge pride for Indians.

Pakistanis already had a taste of it when in round 2.0 Indians deployed it to destroy 11 Pakistani military bases in matter of minutes. Let's face it, BrahMos proved to be the game changer weapon in the recent escalation. Pakistan has no answer to it. Brahmos can hit them anywhere anytime and there's not a damn thing Pakistan can do about it. As long as they have no answer to it they cannot even think about escalating with India anytime in the nearest future.

Not rhetoric. But plain hard fact.

And btw, BrahMos II is under development. While the original BrahMos already holds the distinction of being the fastest and most combat-proven supersonic cruise missile in the world, BrahMos-II is being developed to go far beyond , reaching speeds of Mach 7 to Mach 9, potentially making it the fastest cruise missile ever created.

Designed to be virtually impossible to intercept. At hypersonic velocities, even the most sophisticated air defense systems today would be ineffective against it. In addition to sheer speed, BrahMos-II will be able to evade radar detection due to the plasma cloud it generates during flight, giving it a stealth-like quality. It’s a weapon tailored for precision, survivability, and devastating impact on hardened or time-sensitive targets.

Where the BrahMos-I made India a serious player in global missile capability, BrahMos-II has the potential to make India a technological leader. It marks a shift from being a fast adopter to being a global pioneer. While the United States, Russia, and China are also racing to develop hypersonic weapons, few are as close to deploying a practical, ship- and air-launched hypersonic cruise missile system as India is with BrahMos-II.

Once operational, BrahMos-II won’t just strengthen India’s military posture — it will also enhance India’s strategic influence globally. As export possibilities open up and more countries look to bolster their arsenals with hypersonic deterrence, India will no longer be seen just as a missile-armed state but as a missile-exporting, tech-leading power.

Let them be bro... It is making them happy... Let them be.

Just had a chat with an Indian friend. He was head over heels that the Brahmos was so successful that it destroyed Pakistan's nuclear capability. Apparently half of Punjab is experiencing nuclear radiation from the successful strikes by Brahamos missiles :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Here’s the international brand ambassador of BrahMos, Dr Shehbaz Sharif giving first hand chilling details of the BrahMos in action.

Russians are ahead of everyone in hypersonic missiles no doubt about it, possibly makes sense how iran also has some quality hypersonic missiles, maybe Russia helped them?

This episode deserves a discussion of its own for its alleged implications in Indo-US relations.

In May 2025, a gruesome terror attack targeting Indian and foreign tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir left 27 people including 26 tourists dead, sparking national outrage. The GOI quickly attributed the attack to Pakistan-based groups which lead to strikes by India across the LOC & international border on alleged terrorist hide-outs and launch pads within 100 km range from the LOC and international border.

However, after Pakistan responded with ***-for-tat artillery barrages and attempted airspace violations, India escalated to Phase Two: deep-strike missions targeting key Pakistani military infrastructure. This wave of strikes included high-precision hits on what is now believed to eb as many as 25+ sites out of which the most popular ones hav been the following :-
  • Chaklala Airbase : Believed to house strategic airlift and drone operations
  • Murid Airbase : Known for its cruise missile deployment capabilities
  • Sargodha Airbase : A major fighter command hub.
But the most controversial and geopolitically sensitive target was the Nur Khan Airbase, located near Islamabad—an elite facility suspected of hosting foreign-linked assets and high-value strategic equipment.

High-resolution satellite images soon appeared on the X platform, showing clear damage within the base. But what turned the episode into an international controversy was the rising speculation that American-linked assets may have been hit.

What Might Have Been at Nur Khan?

The Nur Khan base is not just a Pakistani military asset—it is also believed to house or support foreign military cooperation activities, particularly those tied to the United States. Several credible possibilities exist:
  1. F-16-Related Infrastructure
The U.S.-supplied F-16s are a critical component of Pakistan’s air defense. Their upkeep involves U.S.-contracted technicians, encrypted systems, and strict end-use monitoring, all of which may be hosted at a base like Nur Khan. A BrahMos strike damaging these could have serious diplomatic consequences.
  2. ISR and Drone Support Systems
Elements of U.S.-Pakistan counterterrorism cooperation, including signal intelligence relays, drone launch/data terminals, or coordination systems may have been quietly operating from Nur Khan—especially given its proximity to the capital and secure status.
  3. Nuclear Safety or Surveillance Technology
There has long been unconfirmed reporting that the U.S. assists Pakistan with nuclear safeguards technology, designed to prevent misuse or theft of nuclear assets. It is plausible that storage or calibration equipment tied to these safeguards was housed at high-security bases like Nur Khan.

Trump’s Sudden Ceasefire Claim

Just hours after these strikes, President Trump publicly announced that the U.S. had "brokered peace" and helped prevent a larger conflict. He also hinted that India was offered trade incentives to de-escalate. This public posturing shocked New Delhi.

India strongly denied the claim, stating that any ceasefire was a bilateral military-to-military agreement with Pakistan, not the result of American mediation. However, insiders believe that Washington may have quietly conveyed concerns about sensitive equipment or personnel at Nur Khan potentially being impacted by the BrahMos strike.

Strategic Fallout

While no formal diplomatic breakdown occurred, the episode left a mark. India lodged a WTO case over trade barriers soon after and cooled several bilateral dialogues. Indian commentators and policymakers questioned whether the U.S. still maintains dual-track diplomacy—publicly siding with India while quietly sustaining strategic ties with Pakistan.

The Nur Khan Airbase strike may go down as a turning point in India–U.S. strategic ties. If American assets were indeed present—or even suspected to be—India’s willingness to strike regardless sent a clear message: national security takes precedence over diplomatic optics.

India hit american assets during missiles attacks - 100%

Will delusional peoples of Pakistan accept it ? Not now but they will get the reality check very soon

Mashallah...

Beautiful 😍

But sarr listen to what the guy is saying sarr.

India must be grateful that it has a level headed neighbour in Pakistan

The South Indians you are mocking are levels above a general Pakistanis. South Indians are the price of my country and i, their North Indian brother will not tolerate any insult. We Punjabis will always sacrifice our life at the borders to protect our treasured South Indian community who are bringing laurels to our country through their hard work.

The main point I wanted to convey is the level-headedness of Pakistan in contrast to the war-mongering tendencies of our not-so-friendly neighbour. While some might argue that Pakistan is the problematic one, it’s worth considering why India’s other neighbours also seem to have their issues with India.

This perspective sheds light on a broader regional dynamic and encourages us to think critically about the relationships and tensions that exist.

How was Pakistan level headed?
You fired a barrage of cheap Turkish drones at us and even fired a Shaheen. ts another thing your weapons were extremely low quality (that's what you get when you don't pay but beg for freebies all the time) and were easily intercepted.

In return when we fired BrahMos which hit its marks 10/10 you all went crying to Americans and Saudis to request India for a ceasefire.

Your delusional retaliatory stance made you suffer greater losses than we originally intended to. That's not level headedness but suicide.

I appreciate that you took back your insulting comments against our South Indian community. We North Indians will give away our life for them. Only we can joke with them.

It’s not just a name anymore.
Brahmos is the living embodiment of fear in the region.

Rana Sanaullah is lost. He is clueless. He’s not in the loop clearly.

This guy thought Pakistan had done their response to India’s aggression the same night India launched missiles into Pakistan. He thought we were done with it.

-The Brahmos strike at NK airbase took place around 12:00am UK time.

-Pakistan initiated operation Bunyan at fajr time in Pakistan, approximately 2:00am UK time

-Ceasefire was announced around 12:00pm UK time

The Brahmos strike basically was a panic button move by India. They must have received intel about a serious qayaamat strike by Pakistan, and they wanted to get it over and done with it soon.

It appears that there is a significant amount of animosity and misunderstanding between the Southern and Northern parts of India. This is something that cannot be ignored or dismissed lightly.

It might seem that expressions of love and unity are often confined to social media platforms, but it is crucial for us to extend these sentiments into our daily lives and interactions. It is important to recognise and respect the diverse cultures, traditions, and sentiments of people from different regions.

Let us not turn a blind eye to these issues, but rather, actively engage in promoting unity and love beyond the confines of social media.

I welcome such messages.

But first you must set your own house in order where muslims are killing muslims.
India may have its flaws but whole lot better than Pakistan. We have our flaws but against Pakistanis we all punch collectively including our Anti National muslims

It is clear that our house needs to be in order, and recognising this necessity is the crucial first step. I am pleased to say that Pakistan has already taken this significant step towards realisation.

However, it appears that our dear neighbour believes they have already attained the pinnacle of superiority. This mindset might be hindering their progress, as acknowledging the need for improvement is essential for growth and development.

Let's keep working towards getting our house in perfect order and setting an example for others to follow.

We have no sense of superiority thanks to the presence of China in the region. Nothing that is or does is ever seen wrt Pakistan in our country.

India is a unique state because of its diversity. There is no country in the world which is even remote close to India’s diversity so the challenges we face are extreme and putting the negativity aside we have done a decent job in holding everyone together.

Pakistan was literally formed on the basis of religion and has failed at keeping them together peaceful. Punjabis have looted every other community. Bangladesh broke away. Afghans don’t like them. That’s a lot worse.

It’s not that, it’s just that you cannot be trusted. Heavy censorship everywhere, sensationalist media, failing to own your losses.

Nobody believes anything you have to say.

We have no sense of superiority thanks to the presence of China in the region.
Unfortunately that is not true.

If we can both be honest with each other, I am confident that we can move towards a more productive and beneficial conversation.
