INDIANA JONES: The Steven Spielberg film was banned in India because of the film's iconic dinner scene and the portrayal of the country's people.
The crux of the film was that Harrison Ford's character stumbled into a primitive village in India whose children had been stolen.
On top of that, the village's ancient relics - the Sankara Stones - had also been stolen, prompting Indy to venture to a nearby palace to figure out the mystery.
During the inspection of the palace Indy and his sidekicks - Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) and Short Round (Jonathan Ke Quan) - found a hidden temple of cultists worshipping the god Kali with human sacrifices.
Details of these aspects of the film led it to be banned in India permanently.

One of my all time favourite movies!
I thought I'd watch this again because the minister Yogi reminds me of the bad guy.
But it seems its banned in India or has this banned now been lifted?
Amrish Puri deserved an Oscar imo, he done an amazing job.
Do Indians find this movie offensive? If so why?
