Personally I don't harp on about this but those who care or are bothered about it have every right to do so. Some of these western country's are what they are today because they colonised and looted wealth, now when we migrate find a better life in these western countries we are told "GO BACK TO WHERE YOU ARE FROM".

Whatever semblance of civilization we have in india is given by the british. can't imagine what indians would have been like if the british had not brought modern education and scientific thought to this land.

They will try Rob, you just have to look at how they have obsessed over bringing Pakistan down in cricket for half a century, but keep faith. The Indians are still in cut & paste phase of progression, without the original thought of we Brits, they will always be playing catch up.

Waste of time thinking what the British did or did not do. It is pretty obvious that they bled the country. The challenge is to develop now. The British are not holding back the subcontinent, the people of the subcontinent who fight with each other or allow themselves to be exploited by the elite are holding themselves back.

completely agree. Nothing original actually originates from the sub-continent in terms of scientific or academic breakthroughs.

I think they have been doing it for the last few years already. India's IT/Services exports to the UK has crossed $20 bn/year! That is essentially jobs outsourced from the UK.

So the next time someone cries about their 'stolen fortunes', one should explain they have been getting paid with interest!

What rubbish. Indians are being paid for providing a service which we cannot provide for ourselves. And far more cheaply than hiring British professionals (if there were any to hire).
What did we pay the Indians while looting their country, killing & enslaving the people? The empire apologists will insist that Britain was on a mission to bring civilisation to the savages!! What I'd like to know is who were the actual savages?
