What's new

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illahi Rajiyoon - our brother Dhoni183 has passed away

So shocked and saddened to hear this, ilwir Condolences to all

May allah swt grant him jannah

Omgg this such terrible terrible news.

Inna lillahi wa inna lillahi rajiun

He was such a nice poster. I remember back in the day, whoever used to join pakpassion this guy use to welcome them on the forum.

He always came across as a very respectable guy never indulge in any batameezi.

He was the champion of fantasy cricket and would always beat us in those leagues. I think he alsl set up the prediction game aswell. He won the world t20 2021 fantasy while being admitted in the hospital. Thats how dedicated he was.

Man i am really devastated by this news. Just shows how short life is guys and who knows how many posters out there have passed away and we dont know.

This is why we all should be like DHONI183 . Be respectful even if you dont know the guy on the other wcreen, whether we are discussing politics or cricket. Dhoni183 will be missed.

I literally have tears right now. May God forgive him and bestow him the highest place in jannah. Also give sabr to his family members.

Thank you OP for sharing this news with us. We all mourn for him

Well said Major bhai

RIP. Shocking news. Been said already but he was such a nice, unassuming poster.

My favourite Dhoni183 memory are his contributions to one of the funniest threads in history of PP - the Sanath Jayasuriya Commentary Thread.

Let's just say as great a batsman he was, his commentary was littered with bloopers and faux pas, and Dhoni183 did an amazing job of saving and posting all his quotes. I would literally read that thread if I needed a laugh.

32 is no age to go. RIP. My thoughts go to his family and friends.

Good write up mate. Genuinely hope he is at peace and yeah I pray that Allah gives sabr to his parents and family. It is such a painful situation.

As you mentioned despite his health issues he always remained joyful and happy, a lesson for all of us, how many of us take things for granted and crib about every little problem we have, be it at home, office, about job, business or anywhere. I'm no different, but we need to learn about how to live a life from people like Dhoni183 and be thankful to the Almighty at all times.

I'm not regular on this forum, but I keep coming here because I know there are some really good members who post incredibly good stuff and for sure Dhoni183 was one of them. Needless to say he was always very respectful towards others in his conversations. Such a champion. Rest well brother.

Simply horrible news. I’m in shock.

Rest in peace Dhoni my friend.

This is terrible and very sad.
He is such a nice poster.
Thoughts and prayers with his family and loved ones.

Om Shanti.

Terrible news. One of my fav posters, always thought his comments were really respectful and well versed.

Life is short, to Allah we belong and to him we shall return.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Shocking, may Allah give his family sabr through this tough time and may Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah.

Incredibly sad news. :(

May he find peace. His amazing spirit will always remembered here.

Very sad news. May his soul RIP.

One of the most respected poster and a genuine humble guy.

Used to talk to him daily on phone for few months. Feel guilty that I stopped being in touch, especially when he enjoyed talking to me. He was someone else. He was such a pure soul that it would hurt knowing such a person. Like when the grass is so green, it hurts the eyes. Lost a part of myself today.

Such a brilliant poster and one of the truest fans of the sport. It was a difficult read when he first discussed about his illness here. This is so saddening

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. His posts were detailed and insightful.

Allah SWT give his family sabbar to deal with their sad loss at his young age.

Ina lilahi wa ina ilahi rajiyoon

I just saw this thread. I'm devastated. He was a good poster always polite. Never got involved in any flaming etc. May Allah swt give him a higher mukam in jannat.

We should do something for his family..

A sad day for pakpassion.

I have contacted his family and offered any support they need from us.

Oh god.Cannot fathom this.

Was my dear friend and we talked recently on WhatsApp. While I knew of his health issues, I didn't know they were so severe.

I am sorry brother for not giving you enough time.I don't know what to say...

I had an absolute pleasure and joy of being a best or bestestttt friend of DHONI183. It was an incredible and breathtaking ride with him over the past 16 years. We accidentally became friends via PP in September 2007 and our friendship took off. I would describe his personality as level headed, calm, mature, very caring, full of love, committed, witty, humorous and romantic. Dhoni183 lived an exemplary disciplinary and principled life. He was a ‘foji’. I often teased him with ‘naqli foji’ tag if his call would be a minute or two late. Allah gifted him with immense talent - he could sing, write poetry and books, perform mimicry of various celebrities and politicians. Dhoni183 was like a combo, he could do anything. He was a jolly and funny friend to be with.

Dhoni183 authored a book called ‘Zacrodonia - The Sacred Land’ despite his various health complications. It took him two years to write the book. He was extremely knowledgeable about various religions. He had a passion to learn different religions and he was a master of Islam. You could ask any random question regarding Islam and most probably he would answer you on the spot. Inquiring and gaining religious education was a hobby for him. He never went to school but wrote English like a champ. He religiously and passionately prayed to Allah and thanked HIM for his presents and blessings.

Even though he remained ill through out his life, one habit I’m proud to inform you all that he fully enjoyed his life. He brimmed with energy. You could crack a joke with him at any random time in any situation. It was never a dull moment with him. His presence would lit up a room. He was center of attention in a party. He was an easy-going man - it was so simple to have a chat with him regarding any topic. I often discussed my personal life only with him because it was so effortless. He would keep your secrets and I blindly trusted him. He was my go to guy to seek advice. He was always there for you when it mattered. He will let you rant to him. I used to wait for his calls so I could vent out my frustration. Dhoni183 was a marvellous listener. He was a true friend. I was lucky to have known him. I’ve had the chance to learn a lot about life through his eyes. I admired his trait of calmness and matureness.

MS Dhoni if you are reading this - you lost a fan yesterday. I’m not sure if a word ‘fan’ is suitable in this case. He was larger than a fan. You were his life and he tirelessly adored you. I can bet Dhoni183 remembered your every single boundary or a catch/stumping you took till his last breath. I wish you had met him at least once when he was alive. I hope you get to read his tribute to you when you retired in August, 2020. I promise you - nobody can write that.

I would like to grab this opportunity to praise his parents and siblings. Dhoni183 was their life if I could put it in a simple word. He lived like a prince due to them. He was a royal in the home. I don’t know how they will proceed from here onward. I pray to Allah and request you all to pray for their sabar. His parents will be distraught and broken. His siblings will be shattered. His little nieces and nephews will be traumatized. Its an irreplaceable loss. People like Dhoni183 are rare and they are not born everyday. He was a special human being.

I wish I could hug you man. I hope you are smiling and having fun wherever you are. I desire that you are finally at peace. I love you. I dont know if I did justice to our friendship but it was an honour to have you with me. Next time until we meet.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing buddy.

May he rest in peace. terrible news. may the family find the strength to bear this loss.

Our beloved poster DHONI183 passed away few hours ago. I request posters to hold prayers and thoughts for him and his lovely family. After prolonged illness his body finally gave up. What a battle he fought! Those he knew him personally know what incredible pain he went though day in and out. He was 32.

I had first interaction with him via PP in September 2007 and we went on to become best friends and I visited him in Frankfurt, Germany about 8 times and most recently last month in January. He was a man of principal and discipline. He family stood with him though thick and thin. More on this later…

Ina lilahi wa ina ilahi rajiyoon

Oh noo.

Heart breaking, was a great member, gone too young. My prayers with the departed and his family.

RIP brother..

Very sad to know Dhoni183 is not with us anymore! May his soul Rest in Peace!

I always felt his posts were reflections of his personality. He was such a wonderful and friendly person. The world is poorer without him.
He was the leader of the fantasy cricket leagues.

May God give his family and friends enough strength to withstand this loss!

I too wish he had a chance to meet MS Dhoni in person.

Agree with you Major 100%. Dhoni183 was an example for us.

OMG what a sad news . True dhoni fan. Can anyone tell me what happened to him? what disease he was struggling from?. May his soul rest in peace.

So sorry and sad to hear this. He was a great poster, always calm and collected, and from the descriptions from those who knew him better, he was a great person too. He will be missed! RIP.

Oh my God I can't believe this. Knew him for more than a decade. Was such a sweet person.
Om shanti. Narayan unhein apne charno mein sthaan deve.

Shocking, may Allah give his family sabr through this tough time and may Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah Ameen

Devastated news to hear, one of us has passed. Didn't know the bloke personally and didn't know about his illness, but whenever he used to appear on PakPassion, never once did he give any indication of his illness, always appeared positive and joyful.

RIP brother, may god rest his soul.

Support for his family, friends and loved ones.

Haven’t heard from him for days feels so odd and the day feels incomplete. Its definitely a weird feeling which will take time to heal.

By the way, his all time favourite thread was Waqar Younis commentary thread.

RIP legend.

Rest in peace.
I wonder how many wonderful posters go by without us realising.
Stay in touch...forever.

Take care buddy. It must be very difficult for you, but look after yourself as well.

My condolences to the family, friends, and all the loved ones.

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illahi Rajiyoon

Extremely sad and upsetting news, very young as well. Rest in peace brother and may Allah grant you the highest place in Jannah, Ameen.

Heartfelt condolences to his family and may Allah give them sabr.

Sorry to hear this. Just read his old interview from back in the day which was a great read.

And how right was he about dhoni!

May he rest in peace.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun

Extremely sad news, he was gem of a poster. Polite, jovial and with lot of knowledge of cricket and life in general.

You could judge from his posts that he was full of energy despite adversities in his life.

so sad to hear, im not as active on this forum as i used to be years ago, but dhoni183 was a staple of this forum, the guy rarely ever got into arguments, and just sounded like he brimmed with the joyfulness of childhood mixed with an emotional maturity of an elder.

i never appreciated how tough his medical situation was tbh, despite reading the posts, it doesnt hit home like when you find out the guys ain't among us anymore. thoughts with his family in this terrible time, hope he's in a better place now.

Om shanthi. I hope he finds peace. I just was reading his write up about dhoni. It is so unfortunate and a big loss to pp for loosing such an awesome guy. Life seems to be so short. I hope his family finds courage and strength to live this tragedy.

انا للہ وانا الیہ راجعون
May Allah grant him high place in Jannah

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Very sad news - May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Jannah.

Was a great fan of his posts and I remember his prolific days on PP where he would post as regular as anyone.

I am extremely sad and shocked to hear this.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. May the brother be granted highest of rankings in Jannah ameen.

The brother stood out for me because he was always positive, fully of energy and would never take any debates seriously or personally. Such a kind poster who behind the screen was clearly suffering a lot.

Thanks for letting us know because it means we can remember him in our prayers. It’s also unfortunate that so many posters who are not active anymore may have departed this world that we are not aware of.

Really upsetting to hear this.

Sad News!! Life is so short.. Always found his posts to be unbiased and informative. You will be missed here!

Rest in peace.

I had the distinct pleasure of interacting with this very sensitive and perceptive soul on many occasions. He was someone who helped PP out even when he wasn't that well. But he never complained. Anytime I requested something, the answer was yes Bhai. He was like a younger brother to me and I find it very painful to look back at our conversations via whatsapp because it reminds me of what a huge loss this is.

His nature was to never let anyone down. I imagine, he was the same in all his dealings.

For my young friend, I only have my sincerest duas for a comfortable afterlife.

He suffered in this world but we pray that Allah SWT will reward him for his kindness in his earthly existence.

At this time our prayers are with his family.

So sad to hear about him, Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. I can deeply feel what he had to go through tbvh. I have POTS and i know how worse it is and how struggling it can be to do even some basic day to day tasks. May Allah SWT grant him with the highest place in Jannah, Ameen.

Logged into PP after a long long time...and saw this...very sad to here!! He was active when I was active 10 years ago as well...one of the most genuine posters !! Rest in Peace buddy .....

Very sensible poster
Very sad to know about it.
my deepest condolences to freinds and family
May his sould Rest in Peace

DHONI183 was laid to rest today.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

What shocking and sad news to hear.

As a member of PP since 2005, I was very much more active back then and Dhoni183 was a great guy who had hit the site running with his presence. He along with a few others were posters who I enjoyed debating or reading posts on. We are of similar age and I loved his fresh, kind, caring, respectful mannerisms and thoughts throughout his entire time on PP.

He is a true gem and a loss to the PP community, his family, friends and this world.

May Allah forgive him of his shortcomings, reward him for the patience showed, elevate his rank in Jannah Tul-Firdaus and grant sabr to his loved ones Ameen.

This is terribly shocking and sad. If I ever had to list my favourite posters from PP, he’s someone i would mention first probably. In the most tense times when any poster would lose his cool he would enter the discussion, make a great sensible post and leave. The world needs more people like him and this is certainly a great loss to everyone around him. This news feels so personal despite never having met or even interacted personally.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

RIP

I am not the most active on this forum but i do remember reading his insights in the past and having a positive view about him. The news if his passing did shock me.

Thanks for the link, it is quite insightful to see how a fellow human is dealing with the suffering and helps me putt into perspective of my own blessings and everyday troubles.

In his post on his health he mentioned writing a book named ‘Zacrodonia - the Sacred Land'. Since Dhoni183 himself made this info public i find it appropriate to share the following:

I looked up his book on amazon and there you can have free preview. In the “about the author” section it states that the author had a muscular disease and was on a wheelchair since childhood. Due to his inability to move his hands or fingers he would you use a pencil in his mouth to type his writings.

I am left inspired.

What horrible news to read straight up.

Ina lilahi wa ina ilahi rajiyoon.

May his family and love-ones find peace and comfort, and may his rank be the highest in Jannah.

Sad to hear such news. I did not know him as a person, but found some of his posts thought provoking.
Irrespective of this its sad to know one of us is no longer amongst us, a passionate cricket fan's life lost.
Reading some of the posts by PP'ers shows how high he was held in their esteem.
I pray to almight to give his family and near and dear ones strength and condolences to the wider PP community.
May his soul attain moksha.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon may Allah grant him highest ranks of Jannah always loved to see his posts was one of the best :((

Its a sad and unexpected news for his friends and families. Eventually this is the reality , we all will have one day or the other. There is no escaping this fact.

I had great debates with Him in some threads and He carried on discussions in a civilized and dignified matter.
