Interfaith prayer for rain

Cape Town has experienced it's first ever drought during the past 12 months. Usually the city is blessed with rain. Scientist blame the 'El Nino' effect.

Religious leaders from the Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh and various ethnic African got together and jointly prayed for rain this afternoon. It's evening in Cape Town and the heavens have opened. It's raining heavily for the first time in 12 months

Maybe we should have another interfaith prayer for global peace

You can have some of our rain. It has been raining non-stop since last night in Toronto and not the slow kind, its pretty heavy with gusty winds. I drive in to work but there is like a 3 minute walk from the huge parking lot to my office complex. My umbrella broke on the way and I got completely drenched by the time I got to my building entrance.



Now the work day is coming to an end and I'm dreading the prospect of going out again.

Most of the countries in addition to Pakistan are experiencing drough and water shortage.The main reason is the globally altered weather changes due to global warming.In the time of need,new plants should be planted because they help for bringing rain.

No pre monsoon showers? We have been having them from last week.Extremely hot in the afternoon but becomes mild and bearable around evening and in night time.
