I believe the following teams are most likely to tour Pakistan for a series

1) Zimbabwe
2) Afghanistan
3) Kenya
4) Sri Lanka
5) West Indies
6) South Africa

The other teams will naturally take a lot more convincing

1) Australia
2) New Zealand
3) England
4) India

Bangladesh don't really matter, should not be invited or played against.

I am disappointed that the PCB didn't insist on one of the ODI's or one of the T-20's against NZ and Australia being played in Pakistan. I believe these gradual steps can help us big time.

In the mean time the PCB can try to play maximum number of PSL games in Pakistan and continue to lobby with the ICC to send world eleven tours and players to Pakistan for T-20's, ODI's and even a test match

Any explanations for your rankings? Afghanistan at #2 is interesting. And why have you included Kenya but not other Associate sides?

:))):))):)))

Among the teams that will take a lot of convincing, I would put Australia at the bottom and India somewhere in the middle.

Should have included Ireland , the Test Nation in the rankings instead of Kenya.

Sure, can include Ireland. When the likes of Ireland, South Africa tour. Then series questions need to be asked from Australia on their refusal to tour and why they feel they are at more risk than the players from other countries? Is it because their skin is whiter than others?

What's the evidence that South Africa will tour Pakistan?

NZ didn't want to play in Pakistan. You can't make teams play in Pakistan.

Only see associate teams and WI,and Sri Lanka touring.

Strange timing of this post after the China consulate attack.

If they do come Karachi will become a no go. Another reason I say strange timing because I'm hearing there are doubts of hosting those scheduled games in Pakistan.

Unfortunately not looking good.

You need attack free 5 years to even think about proper home tour.

Attack free is impossible, only solution is to for the PCB to demand that western teams drop their nakhray

I don't think any fan is desperate enough to see us play against Kenya. They are barely a cricketing nation anymore.

Afghanistan will need a little more than convincing. You're forgetting they answer to India now.

Also, just because a few South African players came to Pakistan for World XI does not mean an entire 15-17 man squad will too.

Ya right. A fricking team was attacked and you are calling them nakhre lol.

Would you be ok with Pakistan travelling to Kabul to play Afghanistan?

These players have families and shouldn’t risk their lives just for a game of cricket.

There are more chances of India, NZ or AUS touring Pakistan (which is super highly unlikely) than Afghanistan or any other Asian nation.

The reason I am addressing Afghanistan is because you have put them at number 2. Although the players and people and people of two countries enjoy a certain bond, a full cricket tour is a political event. Afghanistan board has firmly put their trust in BCCI's hands because Afghanistan is a minuscule cricketing nation and market which needs BCCI to survive.

BCCI - and Govt of India - are hell bent on hurting Pakistan every way possible and none of these smaller Asian nations would want to annoy BCCI.

What Pakistan and PCB need to do is realize that there is absolutely no goodwill between India and Pakistan at any level, including sports. PCB is under attack and BCCI will do everything its power to destroy anything that might help PCB in any way shape or form. It has been super easy for BCCI so far since no one in PCB has been looking after our national interests or they were fooled by the 'Asian Bloc' mentality. The sooner PCB wakes up and starts to fight this like a war that it really is, the better.

On paper ICC should try to help promote cricket worldwide and help countries that are struggling but in reality they are in the business of making money and India has too much leverage in that playground. Years of turmoil in Pakistan has left with very little if any leverage at international stage.

Pakistan needs to become more secure and prosperous as a country before we can think about reviving our cricket fortunes.

Nothing will happen to the Pakistani team in Afghanistan

Unfortunately the same connot be said about other teams touring Pakistan.

Fact of the matter is, this is not a cricket problem. This is an internal law & order problem for Pakistan.

Until the problem is fixed internally within the country, I can guarantee you that international cricket will not return to Pakistan in any significant way. SL & WI might still go but other teams will not go and there will never be an ICC tournament hosted in Pakistan.

I think he said that because a lot of SA players have visited Pakistan as part of the World XI (Faf, Amla, Miller, Tahir). A couple of players also visited in PSL matches e.g Duminy.

Needs the Board to agree to it first though and I'm not sure that may happen.

Because their captain and a couple of first choice bowlers toured Pakistan for world eleven match as a good will gesture?

It's down to the Board though even if a few of the players are willing to.

The Board takes advice from security experts, ICC etc too.

After successful negotiations, these teams are scheduled to tour Pakistan in the next four years:

Australia tour of Pakistan (March / April 2022)
3 Tests, 3 ODIs, 1 T20I

West Indies tour of Pakistan (June 2022)
3 ODIs

England tour of Pakistan (September 2022)
7 T20Is

England tour of Pakistan (December 2022)
3 Tests

New Zealand tour of Pakistan (December / January 2022-23)
2 Tests, 3 ODIs

West Indies tour of Pakistan (January 2023)
3 T20Is

New Zealand tour of Pakistan (April 2023)
5 ODIs, 5 T20Is

Asia Cup (2023)
6 teams participating

ICC Champions Trophy (2025)
8 teams participating

Three years later, a lot of progress has been made. Plenty of PSL has been hosted in Pakistan now, and only Aus, NZ and Eng left to tour.

Well, looking at this comment years later,.looks like Pakistan got hosting rights for CT + has hosted many international games and has a nice schedule lined up. Guess things went better than what you expected.

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and West Indies. Third rate sides who know one wants to play will visit Pak.
