KEIGHLEY Cricket Club's ranks have been significantly boosted with the major signing of Muhammad-ul-Haq as their overseas player for the 2020 season.

He is the son of Pakistan's former international test and one day captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and has already amassed an impressive CV considering he is still only 20.

In his home country, Muhammad competed at Under-19 regional and provincial cricket as well as grade two cricket for Ghani CC.

These accomplishments were eclipsed however, with selection for the Pakistan international U19 squad.

Furthermore, he is now in the MCCU squad for Leeds/Bradford and will be expected to play against Yorkshire and Lancashire in their pre-season warm up matches.

The Leeds University student is an left handed opening batsman as well as a useful left arm spinner, and will add further talent to the burgeoning Keighley squad, which now has a much better balance of youth and experience.

He has already made a big impression with his new team mates in the winter nets training and cannot wait for the start of the season.

He is looking forward to helping Keighley push on to new heights from their solid eight place last season in the Championship Division of the All Rounder Bradford Premier League.

The standards in UK league cricket are pretty low though he will learn a thing or two about mannerism, professionalism and friendly banter. Would be a good education for the lad.

Never expect much from former players kids.

They dont have to go through the same hardships so they never put in the same effort that one would.

Also the kids are spoilt usually and dont have the same drive to be the best.

Too much pressure to be better then their parents, and on top of that since they grew up in a cotton filled enviroment
They never develop a strong mental game.

Making them mentally weak.

Has he done much in Pakistani club or local league cricket?

Another one that will always be called a 'parchi' in Pakistan.

sometime its unfair though, a relative of a famous cricketer can also become a very good cricketer, in NBA Steph Curry is consider very good player top 5 and his father Dell Curry was also pretty good but not as good as son

Another one that will always be called a 'parchi' in Pakistan.

Imam-ul-Haq is called 'parchi' because he came in the national team wrong way, Inzimam-ul-Haq forced his selection over other deserving players, if Imam-ul-Haq had spend 1-2 seasons more in domestic and dominate then nobody would have called him 'parchi' selection for national team, Inzimam-ul-Haq played with his career and make him a joke

Where is his other son Ibtesham? I can recall couple of years back, I really had a bad memory with some guy here in PP, just for proving with numbers that Ibtesham made it first as Inzimam’s son.
