Because that's the only place he can bat in T20s. Everyone can't be Maxwell, AB. Rahane is good enough for IPL.

24(23) is such a waste of deliveries. Any good T20 player would score at least 35 runs off 24 balls.

WOW I just realised Tripathi hasn't opened in first two matches for RR.Last year,he was easily Pune's best batsmen and also neutralised Rahane factor(Biggest match-loser).RR might be the most boring side in this year's IPL.

Samson seems to have improved. He needs to aim at big scores. Quick fire 20's and 30's will not make the selectors notice him.

Quick fire innings is exactly what is needed at No.6 in Indian team.

At this point, he is much better than MSD who refuses to vacate the WK spot.
