Pandya boy is more of a show off amateur Model these days than a Cricketer ain't he? No of times he changed his hair style in this year is more than the number of runs he scored this year. And remember he was out the very first ball he faced if not for wrong umpiring decision.
 
For once the bowlers have no excuse, if you can't defend 214. You should just retire.
 
Atleast Pandyas innings had a positive impact when his team needed to score 200

He needed a bit of luck and it was a great delivery first up.

But he did what was expected of him. Belt a few biggies at No.7. Hit some monster sixes.

He needed to score a 10 of 17 balls and do some splits.

Pandya cannot hit pacers like he does against spinners. Today he did a great job. He needs to do it on a consistent basis.

Now Pandya has to deliver with the ball too. He has massive score to defend.

Hope they don’t mess up this time. Don’t think kohli can chase this. I am only worried about abdv.

Last season he hit sixes of Pat Cummins ( 2 in one over ) , Rabada , Chris Morris , Andre Russell , Trent Boult etc. I am giving examples of international pace bowlers only. There can be others. It is just a myth that he can't hit Pacers. He is inconsistent overall , tht is for sure.

Lol. Your hero can only dream about batting like Hardik. He has not only showed his big hitting in IPL, even in international cricket as well.

You need to understand the roles in the team.

At no.6 or No.7, you are expected to hit a few biggies and accelerate from the first ball.

Not denying MSD is a legend. He had his days and he is past it now. Now a days MS has to play at least 10 balls to get his eye in and most of the times he fails after that. Not good enough as a finisher which Shastri and Kohli want MSD to be.

I won't mind MS playing ODI's. but him hogging the keeper spot in T20's is shameful. That should have gone to Samson or Pant or Kishan an year ago. MSD is clearly blocking the place of talented hitters.
 
Great batting by Rohit, Lewis and Pandya. But I still don’t like MI.

Why not? One of the main reasons for this rivalry between Chennai and Bangalore is Cauvery. Anyway I am not a fan of CSK. That’s second least fav team for me.
 
Kohli comes to open .Thats why world always like him, never afraid of challanges and loves to take them on.

I agree about Dhoni's spot in T20s. Yes! He doesn't fit in the national T20 setup for sure and lost his reflexes already. I would definitely would love to see either Samson or KL as the WK batsman in T20s.

Coming to Pandya's case: I believe he's become complacent already and taking his position for granted. I see him performing once in a blue moon these days and his contribition in the recently completed SA tour(ODIs) is nothing. When there are players like K.Pandya, Hooda, Vijay shankar, Nitin Rana and Sundar are waiting for a chance to get into the national side and prove their mettle, this lad is just doing nothing, his brilliant fielding being the exception. Yes! Sundar got into the side in the last Nidahas Trophy, but not sure if he will become a permanent fixture in future. Hardik is not new anymore and we can't keep giving him chances when he's not contributing as an allrounder.
 
Total might be too much even for Kohli/ABD/QDK to surmount.

Good start by RCB though.

Cauvery is a river from Karnataka, so TN is forcing through SC to get water from Reservoir again which is built in KA to TN for irrigation where as KA people want the same water for drinking. Some one hating RCB for Cauvery is real stupid reason IMO :facepalm:

Golden opportunity for Sarfaraz and W. Sundar to play a matured innings and build a partnership with Kohli. Let's see if they make use of this opportunity.
 
Kohli had one of the worst day as Captain today, need to make up with bat. If MI doesn't win today, they are almost out of last 4 - winning 8 out of last 10 in IPL is near impossible.

Mumbai has done that once.. isnt it.. started with 0-4 and got into playoffs and eventually won the tournament.

8 out of 10 is hard but we have done before. Don't think we can do it again though. Teams are more balanced now. Only rcb is weak team left.

If you have kohli the batsman, ab, decock, gayle, kl rahul, yuvi and many good/avg players in past then you should be able to win atleast one trophy. though this year they have good chance.

We wouldnt be bottom of the table if we had Cummins instead of King of Cutters.
Anyhow, MI have done in the past and they have the potential to do it again
 
What is kohli doing out there? Seems like he has forgotten a match is going on

CSK yes. SRH not so much. That was SRH's to lose and they finally made it. Kohli ain't scoring 150 today. Unless he does, they aren't winning

11 runs with 1 wicket in hand we should have closed that out. They were easily winning it in the 15th over not the 19th over.
