Two teams who are languishing at the bottom of the table will battle it out for survival. MI and RCB need to win almost all their remaining games to qualify for the play off. MI is coming of a morale boosting win against table toppers CSK and should feel confident but on the other side RCB suffered yet another loss in their game against KKR. The good thing for RCB is that they might have finally identified their right combination in the bowling. Southee except for one over bowled well and Chahal has been in good form.

Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee should bowl bulk of the death overs, whatever their experience should be utilized (even Chahal's 1 over should be preserved after 15 overs). Siraj has mental issues in the death overs, should bowl 2 overs in the powerplay and 2 in the middle overs and look to pick wickets (But don't drop him, if you observe carefully he is actually building confidence but at the same time losing it because of the pressure). It is not just about the poor bowlers, it is also about the poor captaincy of utilizing them. Most other teams also have such poor bowling unit but at least they are handling them well! SRH actually has above average bowlers but they are presenting them like best bowlers! Moeen Ali can be tried in place of Mc.Cullum even as opener.

RCB should try Sunder in opening position. He can play Narine type role for them. But kholi will never try anything radical. #neverplaysbold

MI will hopefully crush the living daylights out of RCB.

SRH's bowling is head and shoulders above every other team, possibly in the entire history of the IPL. Even many international teams would envy such an attack. And they have managed this without Bhuvaneswar Kumar and Billy Stanlake.

Once Bhuvi returns, they may even end up as one of the best T20 bowling attacks ever.

I don't like RCB, and I don't like MI at all.. So gonna support RCB this time.

Bowling is the main issue... Bowling and captaincy has cost us at least 2 matches (and 2 finals in the past). If bowlers do a reasonable job then that will reflect on the batting...

They improved like anything after changing the franchisee from Deccan Charges... Probably RCB also needs a whole change of management and a new look

Bowlers in your team are decent enough. But captain doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together.

not sure why everyone is overrating Dhoni. he is one of those laid back, arrogant cricketers. only good thing about him is he doesnt show emotions like others.. but that comes naturally to him. overall i dont think he is smarter than other captains or tactically better.

today's game, I want my team MI thrash this bengaluru team. I want both Kohli and ABDV to score runs but I want their team to lose badly.

He is also our Indian captain (even for the coming world cup its guaranteed). So its not just about RCB/IPL. His handling of the team should be a huge concern for all the Indian Cricket fans. It also says that because of this, Dhoni will feature till the world cup without doubt (for guidance factors), so any chance of grooming youngsters is ruled out because of this! So we may well see that next set of years (including the world cup) are going to be farewell matches instead of wanting to win anything! Sadly this is exactly the opposite of what Kohli the person is, what Kohli the player is! This will affect both him as a player and team's performance...

Another toss lost and winning chance is diminished from 10% to 2%

What a stupidity to have Duminy bowling! Rohit is helping his buddy's team I guess....

Sometimes I really don't get what's going on in Kohli's head. Surely when you have a horrible bowling attack, the only way you can win is then post 200+ totals. For that surely Kohli needs to open the innings himself. But instead he has pushed himself down to number 4. Mind boggling. The best batsman of this era allows himself to bat for only 35-40 balls. Ridiculous.

I would not mind Kohli having all his brainfades and bad luck in IPL as long as it is over when internationals start.

Kholi is seriously off the track. He is probably the best batter on these type of pitches. Why would he drop himself to 4?

With no AB, he wants to stay till the end. He wanted top 3 to go crazy in PP and take risks

Enough p remature obituaries. He has a good track record in internationals and just destroyed SA in the last series he played. IPL selections are punts. Woakes has derailed his plans and Grandhomme, Dekock or MCullum haven't done much so far. India's ODI line up is much settled and he is the one that pushed Ashwin and Jadeja out at the right time.Relax jeez

So why does our genius captain not use Moeen Ali in these type of pitches? Competent bowler and explosive batsman.

As far as Dhoni goes, Pant showed his capability in the Nidahas. The rest are not ready. Karthik will be in the team anyway. Dhoni is not hogging anybody's spot yet. The last two times India were bundled up for very low scores, Dhoni was the one that avoided India collapsing to 60 all out. He has a role to stabilize if the top order collapses. He does that more often than not. He also lends experience to the inexperienced middle order and literally advises the spinners ball to ball. If you want to back Pant based on IPL, then Dhoni is doing very well in IPL too.

Show me one recent innings of Moeen where he exploded for England. I will show you what Grandhomme did. Also RCB has enough spinners. He needs a medium pace all-rounder and they are not doing well

Tell me one innings by QDk or McCullum

They are top order batsmen and he doesn't have decent domestic top orders. One of them is a keeper. Baz is part of the leadership team as per Vetori. Moeen hasn't opened for years and hasn't exploded. He doesn't need a spinning average batsman

Moeen was killing it in England with both bat and ball in England . Last 2 series he dint do well. But RCB bought him having known that. He has a century in Asia opening. His bowling has been restrictive which is more than Woakes and CDG will do. Leadership part is a very funny xcuse.

Smashed windies in ODI series including a 51 ball hundred

Kohli is getting frustrated. He is reminding me of no 1 t20 batsman Babar today.

RCB needs to strengthen their bowling.Even if RCB plays with 11 viv richards their batting would still be nothing more than decent.

Last 2 series means a few months. QDK and Kohli have similar roles with Baz as a punt at the top. ABD is the real star in this team. Baz is in place of ABD for the past 2 games. If AB is back, Kohli needs a good keeper batsman QDK, Gun batsman AB, All rounder option and hitter Grandhomme and a pacer Woakes or Southee. There is no room for Moeen

RCB bought Moeen this year . They knew he was not in form. So they must have bought him as a package of batsman and bowler . And he is better than Woakes and CDG particularly in Asia. It is ok being second option to Woakes and CDG. But even after their failure , he dint select Moeen. That is the issue.

What poor bowling by MJ McClenaghan i feel rcb has 70% chance and mumbai 30% on this pitch.

What a finish by Grandhomme.. still theyve short least 20 runs given the position they are.

Not the suitable pitch type for our batting but hope they don't play too conservatively. Cause we have batsman till 8.

I remember RCB loosing vs Mumbai last time when mumbai was 4/7. Pollard was hero that time. Can he repeat it here again?

So first time it seems RCB bowlers have done a good job.

If RCB loses this game today after this postion, Kohli should step down as Captain, relax and play as batsman only. There is Mac, AB, Kok, Southee, even D'homme to take the charge.

Umesh bowls brilliantly some day and pathetically other day.

Nope till our :kallis is out there.

You mean all-rounder, Hardik Pandya?

Probably yes and with RCB you never know. I felt similar vibe in the match against CSK and they lost it from there.
