Almost useless match this one, IPL has been weird some How again MI managed to break in, and inspite of two best players of the tournament PUNJAB might be out.

Ash has been humbled though.
 
RCB should continue the intensity... If they can get over today (without worrying about NRR), then they have everything to plan against RR which has lost Buttler... It is now certain that at least 1 team will end up with 14 points for the playoffs.

Actually RCB should just win the matches without putting too much pressure on NRR because they are anyway playing their last match before MI. SRH beating KKR is a better scenario for RCB than competing with MI for NRR. Because RCB's NRR is better than KKR & KXI (CSK cannot plan & lose with such a big margin against KXI in order to make them qualify!)

If everything goes according to plan & if RCB indeed wins the trophy then it will be similar to Pakistan's world cup triumph in 1992 with a combination of luck & determination & clicking at right times!

It might be useless for you, but its exciting for most others... If only strong teams have to play then they can have a 30 match series between SRH & CSK instead of all these... If Punjab has two best players, then even RCB has two (in fact all 4 belonged to same team before! But they could not win a trophy with them, that's what makes life interesting!)
 
Must win for RCB. Will be interesting to see if SRH rest some players. That will certainly give RCB a very good chance of winning.

That's bad luck at the toss, but RCB may won't mind it (batting first) against SRH. They should not be in any hurry concentrating on NRR... They should only look to win. Match against RR (without Buttler) is there for NRR improvement...
 
What a start by AB. Need him to get a big one. Good decision to promote him to 3.
 
AB start has allowed Kohli to settle. Good start by RCB in a pressure game for them.
 
If the rest of the batting cannot manage to post some competitive score (at least support ABD), RCB doesn't look fit for playoffs... That's a poor shot by Kohli indeed! He should looked to see through some overs...
 
This match also looks like a task for RCB bowlers... (slightly confident compared to the start of the tournament)
 
Not a convincing start by Moen so far. Need to take the pressure off AB here.

Anyways I will be happy if they just make it to playoffs. Don't think they have a team to go any further (unless bowling unit bowls like they did against KXI)

Once in the play offs anything can happen. AB could play a special knock or Kohli could and set a score that isn't chaseable.

Play off situation probably suits RCB more then league format.
 
Mooen looks clueless against rashid

If AB get out now i don't see RCB get into a challenging total

That was the case few overs back... Now they can post some total (they have some depth now). As much they stretch the total that much easier it will be for the bowlers to defend...
 
AB should aim to bat the rest of the innings. Moen should carry on looking for boundaries.

RCB have a poor management and a captain who is very uninspiring. MI is one of the best franchises and always gives preference to good Indian players over so called overseas ones. Vohra is one of the better domestic players, but not getting any chances. Just look at this match itself; Mandeep is in good form but Ali gets the nod ahead of him. If you are a youngster, you really pray not to get picked by RCB.

This is the XI MI would have played if the same squad had been given to them.

This is a much much better XI than all the ones RCB has fielded. Kohli is a **** captain.
 
Why don't they take it easy against Rashid (or rather this positive approach can actually lift them is it?)

Kohli maybe a poor captain, but Rohit replacing him makes this team even weaker... MI also has dynamics in picking its entire squad not just playing XI

Yea just noticed that bhuvi is not playing and rashid already bowled 3 so thats great for RCB's point of view.They can start charging from here to put up a comprehensive total

RCB have gotten the balance right now. But Kohli has been poor tactically this year.
 
Moen should have been picked earlier in the tournament. Baz was stuck with for too long.

Rohit is actually a better player than Kohli in IPL if you leave out that one big season of Kohli in 2016. Has played more match winning knocks. Look at this IPL itself, Kohli is amongst leading run scorers but most of this runs were useless.

People like AB. Moeen is still new. But as a team it is poisonous. Its sucks out souls of players. Many youngsters become dud when they join rcb.

Bengaluru people support rcb and some kholi ******/girls do too I guess. No serious cricket fan should support rcb.
 
We want all the 360, 720 from ABD till 20th over... Want 250 to be absolutely safe!

Kohli will screw up yet again even if RCB somehow ends up in the final. He makes sure RCB is everything about himself and AB. He just doesn't know how to bring the best out of his players.

Moen is well liked.

It isn't poisonous. They just get their tactics wrong and are over reliant on their batting coming good.
 
RCB batting providing entertainment yet again. Hopefully their bowlers win the game for them.

Absolutely right, that's what he does even with national team (Rohit replaces there). One of the great unbiased opinion you made about Kohli! As much I like him as a bastman, he is such a poor tactician (in fact that can even lead to the downfall of his own batting), the sooner he loses the captaincy the better will be both to the team & himself!
 
I think four out of SRH, CSk, KKR, MI and RCB will reach the playoffs.

Punjab will miss out.

Moeen is still relatively unknown in India. He is coming out of shadows spectacularly right now!
 
But I liked the positive intent of ABD, no worries... the rest of the batting needs to step up now (and the bowling has to back it up)
