Why is Kohli stopping the ball with hand? I know he is well inside the crease still he shouldn't have done it. During the Champion trophy he had done same thing

RCB smash champions KKR in their own den in IPL 2025 opener

Virat Kohli and Phil Salt got off to a staggering start in RCB's chase of 175 runs against KKR in the opening match of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens. Kohli smashed his half-century in 30 balls, while captain Rajat Patidar hit a superb 16-ball 34-run cameo as RCB reached 167/3 after 16 overs. RCB opener Phil Salt, who used to play for KKR, slammed 56 off 31 balls before getting out. Earlier, KKR failed to capitalise on a great start, managing only 174/8 in 20 overs against RCB. Captain Ajinkya Rahane slammed a half-century (56), while Sunil Narine smashed 44 as well. Krunal Pandya picked up three wickets, while Josh Hazlewood ended with figures of 2/22. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Patidar is a very good spin basher. He should be a contender for the Ind T20 cricket team. And what a choker loser vibe looks QDK goves off. They guy has loss written all over his face. Such a disappointment for a batter of his talent. Almost foves of klrahul mental midget vibes..

Agree on this, they have the most loyal fan base. Must be tough for them not to see 1 IPl trophy win. 2016 was their best chance but Sunrisers were better that day. I remember an IPL game recently, when the opposite team had to get 2 runs or so with 5 overs and 6 wickets or so remaining at Chinnaswamy, and the cheers of RCB RCB RCB were as loud as any. Truly passionate fan base. (y)(y)

Personally, Sunrisers is my home team and hopefully expecting them to win this year's IPl with Captain Pat and the Travishek show and Shami thunderbolts !:)

SRH batting is just another level but we have good team also.

RR is my 2nd fave bcos of Shane Warne - am a big fan of Warney ! And also because they were the 1st team who started giving chances to almost unknown players like Tambe and unknown youngsters picked out of the blue. And then later on - really like Samson and Butler. And their IPL videos are honestly a hoot - the best of the lot ! :D(y)

Yup, should be a cracker ! The cream of the future Ind T20 cricket team - Abhishek, Jaiswal, Parag, NKR . And Sandeep Sharma is such an underrated bowler. Never gets the recognition and bowls all the tough overs for RR. (y)
 
I don’t understand why KKR let go of last year’s tournament-winning players. Shreyas Iyer is one of the biggest assets in the middle order, especially on spin-friendly tracks. Phil Salt was KKR’s second-highest run-scorer last season, with a strike rate of over 175. And they spent around 24 crore in the auction to retain Venkatesh Iyer. The funny thing is, even RCB kept bidding for him until 23 crore. Lol.

Iyer was the biggest surprise honestly. and a solid spin basher which is vital. Pivotal in Ind champions trophy win as well as an enforcer. And yeah 24 cr and retaining venkatesh lol ! And phkl salt too. Still think rahane is done irrespective of today's knock and making him a captain was a step backwards by kkr
 
Boult will be missed by RR more than Butler.. he almost always give a wicket in his first over and super economical in power play.. huge blunder by them letting him away..
 
Why did they add fake crowd cheer after every boundary? Covid is long gone. Also, why Kolkata cheering for RCB?
 
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head is a great opening combo.

Abhishek should take this opportunity and learn from Head as much as possible.

Srh got aniket and abhinav as the finishers.aniket was looking very good in the squad match.looks as good as nitish in big hitting.
 
Hyderabad’s got to be the most exciting team in the IPL. From top to bottom, too much firepower bro.

Reminds me of Kings XI back in the day when we had Maxwell, Miller and all in their prime
