How embarrassing is it that America, the most powerful nation on earth, twerks like a cheap prostitute for a foreign country who start wars and seek protection under the American defence umbrella from the consequences of its actions.
American leaders in the past, flawed as they were, at least had a set and occasionally slapped Israel down.
Eisenhower threatened Israel with sanctions in 1956 when it colluded with Britain and France in invading the Sinai. He even threatened to collapse Britain's financial system that was reliant on American aid.
Bush Sr told Israel it wouldn't get one cent for a loan unless it stopped building settlements. His Secretary of State James Baker told AIPAC to their face to forget the idea of a Greater Israel.
The last two US Presidents however are repeatedly kicked in the pants by Netanyahu. Trump's own negotiations were upended. Yet their response ? Thank you sir, may I have another.
