UK defence secretary says no detail yet on any US plans to end the conflict .

More now from Defence Secretary John Healey, who has been speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

On the Strait of Hormuz, he says the UK is helping bring nations together and "create options that are beyond the military".

Asked if he knows what the US is planning to do to end the war, he says: "The plans are being developed. There isn't the granular detail at the moment."

He says what is important at this stage is a commitment from many countries saying they are ready to contribute to options that could lead to the strait being opened to more shipping.

"You have got a president, the US and Iran now having conversations, which have got to be welcome. Because if we are going to bring back shipping to the strait, if we are going to bring back stability to the region, then we have got to have a path to end this conflict," he says.

No I meant sponsoring proxies supporting Oct 7 chanting death to Israel and america etc...the prelude...this war was unjust but iran was trying to play the long game...show weakness and get the nukes up and they would have become untouchable ..issue is the open animosity before the nukes could be made ready.

Iran unable to touch any IDF soldier leave alone officer..their missiles surprisingly doesn't kill....does Israel not have missiles they mostly use air to ground stuff but very effective. Iran needs to plug the leaks and stop assassinations

When Iran allowd all these countries to use Hormuz strait ? Just now .... Iran clearly buckled under US threat to attack to power plants in Iran. Now almost suffered 60-70 % losses in infrastructure and military. Thats why Itan surrendered on Hormuz strait.

Thats why US claiming victory over Iran ✌️ 🎊

I have no idea what you're on about but I repeat my point. Trump said the US had "won" and had "obliterated" Iran's nuclear, military and missile capabilities.

Yet, the Strait of Hormuz is shut and the US are now sending units in to fight. Doesn't sound like he's won at all, in fact it seems like Iran is the one winning.

Iranians were chanting death to Israel and the US. Israel and the US weren't chanting but actually killing.

By the way, one mistake; they are reverts not converts... In Islam everyone is born a muslim so if they follow a different path and then return to Islam then they 'revert' not 'convert'.

The converts are the many millions who convert from one religion to another, i.e. Hindu's to Christians and so on.
Also, if we go by your logic then almost every single person who follows a religion is a convert...

Iran blocked ships sailing through Hormuz except Indian ships ( hats off to India's diplomacy).. and they were blackmailing these countries to pressurised US.... however Iran surrendered to US by allowing russia, china, Japan, South Korea and Pakistan to use Hormuz strait.....

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency published an article saying Iran should withdraw from the NPT as soon as possible . Yeah , with statements like these , they are making their intentions pretty clear I guess. Making it easier for US and Israel to continue bombing their nuclear sites and make Iran never gets a nuclear bomb. FWIW , the US has driven a wedge in the ME nations with a dog eat dog mentality

What diplomacy india were forced to pay in Chinese yuan after Russia rejected giving discounts to india and also were forced to buy Iranians oils

1 Now india have to pay in Chinese yuan who they dont like because they sell weapons to Pakistan

2 will have to buy Iranian oil in yuan to fund the Iranian missiles

And yes you only have 30 days before usa will start putting tariff on you and force you not to buy Iranian amd Russian oil and you will have to say yes master 🤣🤣🤣🤡

The IAEA has said that the bombing going on right now is having a limited impact on Iran's Nuclear program and that - to quote - "unless it was nuclear war and you go for destruction in an unfathomable way".

This is a very concerning statement. If Iran was to withdraw from the NPT it would only to be to stop the spying of the IAEA that's reporting back to the US and Israel.

Also it's very hypocritical when neither India, Pakistan or Israel are part of the NPT. Why should Iran be subject to it when it's a being used as tool for spying and relaying info to it's enemies. Who btw bombed them while they were negotiating
