Is Haris Rauf well liked in the dressing room?

Team management definitely rate him as a bowler.
But his fielding is atrocious. He costs the team atleast 20 runs in a game by himself alone with his street level fielding. Doesn't even use any energy in the field. Mohd Irfan like in field. The worse thing is, he's a newbie and should be showing a lot more energy and committment in the field.
The way Imad reacted to his drop seemed like real anger rather than heat of a moment.

Imad is generally a hot headed guy when he is bowling. Someone pointed out rightly that he is the captain Pakistan needs if they want these guys to stay on their toes in the field.

However in regards to the question, Harris does come across as someone who probably is disliked by his teammates, but they know he is crucial to the side due to his extra pace and death bowling skills. A bit like how Shoaib Akhtar was practically disliked by 75% of dressing rooms that he is a part of.

Don't think Haris is an asset to the side at the moment when he is just 7 or 8 t20s into his career.
Neither has his performance been that good to be a sure shot in the eleven.
Shoaib's performance was at an another level, he almost always performed and singlehandedly won matches on his own even in the presence of Wasim, Waqar and Saqlain. And that makes up for one of the best ODI bowling lineup. Shoaib would be giving such performance very frequently whereas Haris hasn't done anything really.

If Shaheen Afridi was this poor in the field, it would have made sense for dressing room to have some sort of reservations about him as he HAS won matches on his own and is deemed one to go a long way for a decade atleast.

Haris in my opinion is not that good and time is also running out for him as he is officially 27 now.

I like Imad as he is someone who knows what a captain is and how captaincy works.
He may sound a bit arrogant but he constantly gave newbies chances of batting ahead of him in the recent national t20 when he could have himself come at the top for his own runs, or have opened the bowling for his liking where he is comfortable at, yet he went out of his comfort zone and gave others a better space to perform.

I have personally met both Imad and Babar, both are quite close to each other and Babar is a sort of a nervy guy who is a bit shy among his fans while Imad interacts with his fans quite confidently.

Haris Rauf is no Shoaib Akhtar. In fact, he's quite ordinary, especially with the new ball. Not convinced about him at all. These are the only young bowlers worth mentioning in Pakistan at the moment:

Shaheen
Naseem
Hasnain
Akif Javed

He looked tired today, il give you that
Not sure he should be playing in the Lankan league tbf

He always looks tired in the field. But yes, he has played consistently in last one month without much rest.
He should also work on fitness.

Poor bowler, lazy, unfit, negative attitude and body language.

There is nothing likable about him.

One of the easiest to dislike cricketers in a very long time

It is the OTT celebrations that are the most annoying. Good teams will take him apart because when it is not going to swing for him he's going to be fast cannon fodder

Not sure why the hate Yes he needs to improve his fielding A LOT

But his t20 bowling is a treat to watch and hes consistent

Probably after shaheen the 2nd pacer for t20s

His first job is bowling and he isn't even doing the well, you expect him to field?

Got smashed at 10 RPO by Zimbabwe, no offense but National T20 sides were stronger than Zim.

At the moment he is not someone who would be in my long term plans. Shaheen still needs a partner. Hasnain is good but he often has days where he looks like a younger version of Sami.

He has bowled remarkebly well thus far and given the team many breaks. He is a must for T20s and perhaps ODIs as well when Wahab is not playing. He has done nothing at all to be disliked. Fielding can easily improve., he has not been playing for long.

This whole thread is conjecture. There’s no actual evidence of his teammates disliking him. A glare here and there during the course of a match doesn’t really prove anything. Seems like controversy for controversies sake.

Can you tell me hasnain’s stats for the last match and compare that to Harris’ .

The problem is Harris is 27/28 on paper, and therefore close to his prime, hasnain is a newbie. Raif should be close to leading the pack at the moment but for me he hasn’t shown anything overly impressive to warrant this.

Rauf is a good bowler but he should look to play 4 day cricket to improve his line and length

Hes only been bowling hard ball for the last 2-3 years

Hes done remarkably well to get where he is today so fast He has some fire in him and the wicket taking ability

If he carries on improving the way he is pakistan will hopefully have a v good bowler on their hands for about 5 years or so

I hope he does and he proves me wrong, he must have some sort of quality to have been selected in the bbl, but at the moment he looks like another wahab, good in spurts but nowhere near consistent enough.

A few stares for Imam today.

I don't think Haris is one for respecting reputations :)

He is most definitely bowling quicker for LQ than he was for Pakistan a few days back.

Sadly he is more attitude than performance though. Has looked like an inferior version of Wahab Riaz, so far in his international career.

It is okay he only started bowling with a hard ball two days ago.

Always was and always will be a garbage bowler. This is what happens when you pick people from the streets and then hype him up.

As I said before, he will be a 7 T20I wonder for Pakistan and then vanish into thin air.

I don't see what people see in him. He looks and plays like a tape ball player.

Hasnain is better to invest in.

Definitely not a guy I would consider myself lucky to have in the team or even dressing room.

Dilbar Hussain is similar to Rumman Raees which is a good thing.

Lol at the hate, Haris is a fast bowler and aggressive. I want him showing same aggression against Indian or Australian batsmen :)

I agree with you but out of curiosity is there any player you do like as you are usually thrashing everyone

Haris Rauf tbh is extremely overhyped. He is just rated in Pakistan because of his performance in the big bash. Since then I haven't seen him do anything of note in Pakistan colors. He doesn't deserve selection at the moment but just because prob our selectors think he's done so well in Australia he needs time. He needs to start performing or else ship him out.

this comment is like Dr.noman on game on hai with no sense just blame any one any time

He is a tape ball bowler and needs to work a lot on his fielding , tbh I don't expect to start working on his fielding at age 27 and become good in 6 months time. He will have to work on his bowling more to hide his fielding deffieciency.

Well he has another chance to make amends for that poor last over today and help Lahore reach their first ever PSL final. Big game for the Raufsta!
