Is this the first time that Pakistan batting is stronger than bowling?

Just look at the line up with lots of young guns bats till 6 or 7.

Our batting is NOT stronger than our bowling! Don’t let a few victories against Zimbabwe make you think that. Fakhar and babar are good but that’s about it.

Bowling is stronger but even if the contrary was true; Pakistan's 2004 - 2006 side (before we found Asif) had a stronger batting composition than the bowling due to the transition of Wasim and Waqar's retirements.

What a better title would be "Is this the first time Pakistan have comfortably beaten a minnow with no qualms and thus have created a mass pandemonium of fans who don't know how to react to this rare occurrence, which in turn has meant so many OTT threads of late?"

The only 2 proper batsman in the side are Babar and Fakhar where as the bowling is filled with the likes of Hassan ,Shadab ,shinwari ,ruman and not to forget amir, our batting is not even close to being as good as our bowling

Good troll thread .bowling is pakistan strong suite batting have just become from average to decent

I genuinely think that our batting and bowling are both at par with each other. I don’t see the quality in spin department that would strangle a quality side on a paltry total. Similarly I don’t see our batting side getting bundled out for the score 50’s and 60’s but I also don’t see them blasting the quality opponents out of the game. All in all, I don’t see mediocrity or an all around brilliance with either bat or bowl.

it all looks pretty till we play experienced sides...but enjoy the batting performances while we are playing zim

It's debatable in Test for sure, but LOis, let's see.

Look at the potentials.

Fakhar, Imam, Babar, Malik, Faheem (Sharjeel, Haris, Talat, Asif Ali, Sahibzada, etc)

Now match me a bowling potentials with these guys and I will concede.

Let's get some perspective - I usually deplore the pessimists on here but you cannot take stock in our batting performances against the "opposition" we've faced in Zimbabwe.

I'm happy we scored 399 don't get me wrong, albeit a depleted attack, but its about par against that attack.

It's still an unproven batting unit against top teams. The Dunedin debacle/5-0 in NZ is still fresh in the memory.

The Asia Cup, AUS/NZ series, and SAF series will be the litmus test.

If that ever happens then rest assured the world would be ending later that evening.

Our batting can NEVER be better than our bowling.

Our bowling is much stronger . We need to find players who can score against top teams and also who can score against quality pacers.

Amir and Junaid don't look the same they used to be. Hasan is off colour, but he is def. potential. Shaheen looks promising. Haven't seen much of Usman. And Rumman and Faheem more like supporting role for top guns.

These are very talented bowlers, and it's good overall attack. But compare to batting potentials you have ... not sure if they are stronger.

I guess their performance against stronger side will tell full story.
