To be honest guys, better Pakistan teams have lost and got knocked out of ICC tournaments before aswell. The World T20 2024 was an outlier in terms of incredible embarrassment, where a bunch of part-time cricketers managed to knock Pakistan out of a big tournament.
The main issue here is the brand of cricket being played, and the way they capitulate in EVERY SINGLE game. Yes, they don't care whether it's India or New Zealand or USA, the way they play is exactly the same and mistakes are being made in exactly the same way. The captain, whichever numpty it is at the time, just comes up and scams the fans by saying they will not make mistakes in the next game, yet proceed to make the EXACT same mistakes in the very next game.
Fans know the current players don't possess the same level of talent to compete consistently against the best teams in the world, but they deserve to at least be entertained when they spend their hard earned money to go to the stadiums, to fly over to other countries to watch these nutters play.
Babar Azam has been made into a brand, but he continues to regress and it's now so evident that he is playing for himself. What kind of role model are you as the PCB trying to make? Will the youngsters be happy with stat-padding aswell? Babar should be taken to the absolute cleaners right now by the same PR that made him into a fake 'king' in the first place.
