Is Mustafizur Rahman more talented than Mohammad Amir was?

Rehman clueless yet again when his team needed him the most. If you guys haven't noticed, mustafiz have only got a bunch of wickets in slow, bowler friendly tracks where even the likes of kumar and grant elliott looked unplayable. He is of course good the first time he faces a batsman, like with india. But his novelty factor is coming off and its starting to show already. He looked like another IPL trundler today. He will end up being similar to ajantha mendis, but will still play international cricket because lack of talent in bd. I think Taskin will be a better bowler than rehman by miles. Heck even that other bd pacer at least has good, consistent pace.

A bunch of wickets. Lol :))) :))). He has already taken loads of wickets against some of the best teams in the world.

Perhaps u missed the current ICC odi ranking. No problem, I m here to remind u. Currently Bangla is at number 7 and soon they will grab the 6th/5th spot in ICC odi rankings. :yk2

Do you know the reason behind their recent success. Yes, u've guessed it right. They have done so well because of fizz's mesmerizing bowling performance against some of the world class batsmen of India and South Africa. :srini

Performance in Odis

Mat: 9
Wkts: 26
Best : 6/43
Ave : 12.34
Eco: 4.26
SR : 17.3

I won't talk about his his t 20 performance. Because he's so much better and so much ahead of everyone else in this format that there is no point in discussing it. :yk

Mustafizur's victims so far in IPL :

ABDV
Watson
Russel
Hardik Pandya
Jadeja
Shaun Marsh

Bhuvi's victims so far :

Gayle
Kohli
Guptil
Finch
Raina
Vijay
Rahane

Clearly Bhuvi has troubled the opposition more than Fizz as he has dismissed 7/9 top order batsmen whereas the later's only wicket worth mentioning is that of AB.It has been mostly agreed by neutrals that Mustafizur is a very good death bowler like Bravo who can contain and pick wickets while batsmen are looking to slog.He can't swing it like Bhuvi and hence once the novelty factor wears off he'll be easy pickings (as was proved by Smith last night).Ofcourse he'll always be a good death bowler.Pune, although a poor T20 team had the best class batsmen in the entire IPL and as expected he ends with an economy of 10.50.I expect him to be poor vs RCB and Pune when they meet SRH again.Bhuvi, although a bit more expensive than Fizz, is doing a for SRH what both Southee & Mclenahagan are doing for MI.They will always be expensive as they are looking for wickets.Mustafizur, although he has been phenomenal is not SRH's premiere bowler.Mustafizur's inability to pick "big" wickets will let him escape with figures of 0-24 (4) but his bowling partners will pay a heavy price. While Bhuvi's exploits with the new cherry will not only benefit him but the entire bowling unit including the Fizz.It is rightly said by experts that taking wickets is the best way to restrict the opposition.

On top of that Bhuvi has a much better action with the ability to swing it both ways and more handsome too :afridi

Well you obviously get bit of a bias considering it a Pak forum. But atleast here you would get as much neutral views as possible. There was a thread in Bangla forum about who is better spinner between Ashwin and Shakib. Shakib won the poll by 100% :)) Now that is called bias. Indian forum is pretty much same as well.

As far as Bumrah is concerned you cant have that comparison (well atleast if yoh ain't trolling). No one in his sane mind would compare Bumrah with Amir/Musta who is clearly class below both. Let us produce another great bowler like Atul Sharma and then I would open a comparison thread for sure :misbah

atul sharma never played competitive cricket. He was hyped by media to bowl 161kph deliveries.

They were saying
:daikyay, ye atul nahee, atulya hai" :)))

I think better person for you to open a thread will be Kuruvila or Debashish Mohanty :))) :)))

He was obviously joking:inti

I am quite pleased to see Bhuvneshwar bowling well again. I am a big fan of his swing bowling, hopefully he will get his international career back on track.

Caught a bit of IPL on sky?

Their punditry is so better than the one that happens with dancing cheerleaders in the set max studio.

Mustafizur the better bowler for me at the moment.

Amir keeps getting smacked in Every game and is only playing for past potential.

Amir just hasnt been able to perform with the same venom. Completely different bowler to that in 2010

Don't know. All I know is Amir is not a world class bowler. Just a good bowler.Nothing more nor less. He is a danger in helpful conditions but then so are many others like Bhuvi or even Tim Southee, Boult lol.

Not sure about talent, but going by the numbers, Mustafi is leaps and bounds ahead currently - and I say that as a huge Amir fan.

Mustafiz is a thinking cricketer, he uses his brain. Amir bowls defensively nowadays, bowls way outside off stump not to concede runs, he looks like he is bowling to stay on the team instead of bowling his heart out, after his opening spell there is no threat from him
