Pakistan has very exciting bowlers. Unfortunately the captain is a batsman who according to some news reports is self centered. He seems to be more concerned about what will help him to score runs. Thats why these pitches.

I would be perfectly happy with 120/1, we should let both sides bat before judging. Anderson would struggle on this pitch as well, albeit might not go for 5 runs an over.

yet another post with preconceived notion. one series doesn't show full picture. just check the stats for recent years, india produces most balanced pitches for spin, pace and bat.

One can only laugh at those who are blaming the pitch. No pitch is bad enough for the bowlers to concede 500/4 in 75 overs.
Pakistani bowlers bowled 2-3 boundary balls every over which has nothing to do with the pitch. They could have bowled defensive lines, they could have bowled with enough discipline to not go at 6.66 runs an over.
They are not the first bowling attack to bowl on a flat pitch.
They have been utterly humiliated & exposed. Naseem in particular has been brutally exposed. He was, is & will be a rubbish Test bowler but his fans won’t shut up.
His career returns are as embarrassing as his figures today.

It's not just pitch, it's horrible bowling.
Flat pitch does not mean that it's easy to score 500+ in just 70 odd overs.
Let both sides bat.

I think the poster was talking as a genuine cricket fan. You can see his previous posts, the guy follows associates too. He hasn't got any agenda.
India has produced a few doctored pitches but not everytime the pitches are rank Turners. Our batsmen (except Rahane) have exceptional batting averages in India. Even Indian pacers have excellent bowling averages and have out bowled the overseas Pacers in India.

Nice attempt at dividing the fan base, fortunately the usual suspects didn't fall for it this time.
Babar has no say in the curation of these pitches. Even if he did it doesn't really benefit him to have roads produced at home when he needs to be winning matches to keep his job.

It’s not just the captain. It’s the chairman too who is more concerned about a making marketable brand out of his captain. He wants to ensure Babar averages 50 as a player/captain in order to sell his team as a world class competitor
It works both ways for Ramiz and Babar. Babar plays his game, scores his runs (in all formats) at ease and the numbers paint him as world class. Ramiz can then harp on about how we have a captain of the playing stature of Imran Khan blah Blah

Please don't insult Imran Khan. I am no fan of Khan the politician but i am a fan of Khan the cricketer. Babar isnt even on the same planet, ability wise, performance wise, personality wise, or inspiration wise.
If Ramiz thinks he will make a brand out of Babar, then i feel sorry for PCT. It has already suffered this brand making exercise of one avg cricketer, it will suffer another one.
Did anyone make brands out of Tendulkar or Dhoni or Kohli? No. Their acts on and off the field made them. Did anyone make legends out of Imran or Wasim? No. Their sheer talent and performance did.
Its okay to have a stupid leader, than a self centered one.

This is a series that gives Pakistani cricket a serious culture shock and could even kill Test cricket. Turns out cricket in Pakistan is better the devil you know with the game needing a gutting and overhaul for 25 years, with long periods of mediocrity , bordering minnow levels, interspersed with the odd good series in England and kudrat ka Nizam tournament showings

When you have Yasir Shah as your spinner why can’t you produce at least a tank turner. Shaheen and a pace all-rounder can provide decent backup with the new ball, and then on to Yasir Shah, plus one more spinner plus a spin AR(the guy who played well in T20s?).
That is surely a better approach than what we have here.
