I didn’t fell for the con; I have been warning people since 2013 that angels will not descend from the heavens when/if PTI comes into power.
I voted for PTI because I wanted to do my duty. A person who is eligible to vote but doesn’t has no right to complain or voice his opinion. I gave PTI a chance to prove me wrong for once, but that is not happening.

PEMRA blatantly lied, knowing very well that their lie will eventually be exposed. If the government had an ounce of credibility, they would apologize for misleading the nation.

Notices were sent to 2 channels Bol and ARY (both estab+pro pti channels according to you) and both of them reported that Asad resigned already they didn't say he is going to resign. The announcement came a few days alter.

Pemra suspends TV channel 24NewsHD’s licence
The Pakistan Electronic Media Authority Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Friday suspended with "immediate effect" television channel 24NewsHD's licence for "illegal transmission of news and current affairs content".
According to a press release issued by the regulatory authority, the channel Value TV — for which the license was issued to Central Media Network Pvt — had "illegally" changed its name to 24NewsHD. The channel was granted the licence to air entertainment content but instead it was "persistently illegally and unlawfully airing news and current affairs in continuous violation of Pemra laws", the statement read.
The regulatory body said it issued a show-cause notice to the channel for violating the terms of its licence and directed it to "revert back to its approved programming content" on May 7, 2020. But the channel "failed to adhere to the directions of the authority despite several notices and opportunities of hearing provided [to them]," according to the statement.
Pemra, therefore, suspended the channel's licence with "immediate effect till the time it reverts back to its original programming mix".
'Imran Khan targeting those who speak truth'
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan for the TV channel's suspension, saying that he was targeting those "channels, media houses, journalists and owners who spoke the truth".
In a tweet from the PML-N's account, Aurangzeb condemned the suspension and demanded the channel's "immediate resumption".
"Taking channel 24 off air without hearing its stance is oppressive and unjust. Imran's government is cutting the very shoulders on which it came to power," she said.
She claimed that the government had a "problem with all those institutions and people who criticised it".
"Heavy-handed tactics are at their peak during this government. Mir Shakeelur Rehman's wrongful arrest, banning channel 24 and restricting the writings and programmes of various journalists prove that this government is not democratic," she said.
Aurangzeb claimed that the government was "increasing unemployment amid the coronavirus after destroying the media industry", adding that the suspension of the channel's licence would add to the "tsunami of unemployment".

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday deferred a decision by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to suspend the licence of television channel 24NewsHD over "noncompliance with its terms of licence", issuing notices to the regulatory body and the federal government and seeking their replies on the matter during tomorrow's (Wednesday) hearing.
Pemra on Friday had suspended with "immediate effect" channel 24NewsHD's licence for "illegal transmission of news and current affairs content".
According to a press release issued by the regulatory authority, the channel Value TV — for which the license was issued to Central Media Network Pvt — had "illegally" changed its name to 24NewsHD. The channel was granted the licence to air entertainment content but instead it was "persistently illegally and unlawfully airing news and current affairs in continuous violation of Pemra laws", the statement had said.
The Central Media Network had challenged Pemra's suspension in the LHC, terming it "illegal" and nominated the federal government and Pemra as respondents.
In its petition, the media network said Pemra had issued a show-cause notice to the channel on May 5, adding that the channel's representative had attended a hearing on the matter on June 1 and a written reply had also been submitted.
However, the petition said, after a decision issued by the Pemra chairman on July 3, the channel's license was suspended on "alleged violation in change of logo and content without permission". The petition also stated that the channel had applied for a change in licence category in 2015, which was "partially approved".
The petition argued that an order could not be issued solely by the chairman of Pemra and required the signatures of all twelve members of the body. It also claimed that the authority had allowed variations in programming of other channels and that this was a case of "discrimination".
The petition called on the high court to set aside Pemra's decision and to issue a stay order until a judgment was given in the case.
Pemra's lawyer, while opposing the request for a stay order, argued that the case could not be heard in the LHC since all the proceedings had been conducted in Islamabad. The lawyer suggested that the media organisation should have approached the Islamabad High Court.
Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi, who has decided to hear the case on a daily basis, after hearing the arguments ordered for the channel's licence to be reinstated and issued notices to the government and Pemra to respond during tomorrow's hearing.
Senior PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal, during a press conference, lauded the court's decision, saying it had "put a stop to an oppressive step taken by the government".
On Monday, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) had called for a countrywide strike to protest against the alleged highhandedness of Pemra authorities, suspension of the licence of TV Channel 24 and nonpayment of salaries to media workers.
The PFUJ also condemned the firing incident that took place during a protest organised by journalists outside Pemra's office.

The ele*ctronic media regulator has started a countrywide operation against cable TV operators airing illegal Indian channels.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Autho*rity (Pemra) has also war*ned cable TV operators to immediately stop airing Indian content declared illegal or proscribed by the authority.
No channel other than Pemra licensee would be allowed for distribution on cable TV networks, the authority said, adding that any violations would be dealt with in accordance with Pemra laws.
The authority on Thursday said its regional offices conducted enforcement drives on reports of violations by cable operators who were airing illegal Indian channels. This was in violation of the dir*ections issued by the apex court as well as by Pemra.

Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi starrer Tere Bin’s controversial content has now irked Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) as well. The drama created an uproar on social media after a clickbait promo hinted at marital rape between Murtasim (Wahaj) and Meerab (Yumna).
But due to heavy backlash, the episode was allegedly edited with “Whatsapp Quality” voiceovers. The haunting visuals, however, were still there and PEMRA has now issued an official warning against it.
On Friday, two days after the said episode aired on television, PEMRA issued a press release on its official Twitter account that warned Tere Bin makers to not stop airing “inappropriate” content that goes against the rules of the organisation. The press release stated, “Episode 47 of Geo Entertainment channel’s TV serial Tere Bin showed inappropriate content that clearly goes against rules of PEMRA and that of the 2015 electronic media regulations.”
It further asked the makers to remove/hide the said content immediately and make sure that no similar content gets aired in any of their future episodes. “Strict action will be taken against the makers in case any other regulation is comprised next,” it concluded.
Social media users responded to PEMRA’s tweet and called it “a little too late.” A user wrote, “Did you just wake up now? They changed the episode. There’s nothing controversial now. First watch it, at least.” Others congratulated the social media warriors who raised their voices against marital rape and its negative depiction on television and succeeded in changing the narrative.

Pemra told to ensure every party gets level playing field
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to ensure that level playing field is given to all political parties regarding broadcasting of their content and speeches.
Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza was hearing a petition of former prime minister Imran Khan questioning alleged violation of a stay order against ban on the media coverage of his speeches.
This petition was filed before his arrest in the Toshakhana case.
The court observed that restriction on freedom of speech was witnessed in totalitarian dictatorial regimes and in free democracies such bans must be negated.
The judge noted that in this era of social media where everyone had gadgets, such a ban on freedom of speech was a futile exercise. He noted that since the elections were round the corner, therefore, political parties must be given freedom to communicate and advance their agendas to the masses.
Earlier, Assistant Attorney General Sheraz Zaka opposed the petition on behalf of the federal government. He pointed out that a US court disqualified former president Donald Trump from contesting the next presidential election for making hateful speeches and inciting people to attack Capitol. He argued that the state had to strike a balance between maintenance of public order and freedom of speech.
The law officer also referred to Faizabad dharna case judgement in which Justice Qazi Faez Isa reprimanded the Pemra for not taking action against hateful incendiary speeches made by a religious party.
He said the government and Pemra were implementing Faizabad dharna case judgement.
The assistant attorney general argued that a similar situation transpired that due to the hateful speeches of the former prime minister and his followers launched an attack on army installations on May 9. He said the ban on his (Imran Khan) speeches must be sustained.
Justice Mirza observed that the elections are round the corner and every political party must be given freedom of speech.
The judge directed Pemra to ensure freedom is accorded to every political party and any content, speech of a political party on social media websites would not be blocked. He also directed Advocate Haroon Duggal, the counsel for Pemra, to submit an affidavit on behalf of the authority’s chairman with an undertaking to ensure freedom of speech for all political party leaders.
The court then adjourned hearing for two weeks.
On behalf of the PTI founding chairman, Advocate Ahmad Pansota earlier said the government violated a court’s order and banned coverage of the petitioner in the media.
He said the government also jailed the petitioner besides silencing his voice. He argued that the law mandated equal media coverage of all political leaders.
He asked the court to take action against Pemra authorities for defying the stay order, as Pemra had slapped the ban after Imran Khan lashed out at former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa for, what he called, protecting incumbent rulers in their alleged corruption cases.
