I have been watching Pakistani food shows for the last few days, and I can easily say nothing beats the food from Peshawar and Mardan! The amount of BBQ items, Pulaos, the so many different types of breads, and most of all their Cleanliness compared to other cities is what is really attractive. Would love to go there on my next trip

Yeah has a long triangle-ish shape. Have eaten the best Afghan food in the Sajji restaurant in Gulistan e Jauhar though.
Yeah heard good reviews about the food there, also the setting is very nice

Chapli kebab bro. There are some very good shops in Peshawar Mor and F-10 Markaz Islamabad when you come here next time
Dont remember the shop name in Peshawar but it was quality may be Peshawar residents can help here.

Dad always made it after a Qurbani although in a pressure cooker. The green chilies and salt are what made the dish what it is though.

Their chappal kebabs are the best I have ate in UK. Great place underrated not as busy as it used to be with all the hyped places opening up on ladypool road. Gotta love brum tho we have a wide variety of places to eat and now we have Nawab too (though I'm not a fan of buffets).

Peshawari food gets my vote, even though the closest I've come to it is Wilmslow Road in Manchester. I like their more subtle use of spices, makes a nice change from the more full on spice of desi food. Grilled meat and naan>daal/channa any day of the week.

There are many places like Bab-E-Khyber where their presentation doesn't match an Akbars or Tipu Sultan for example but their food is just brilliant, most people seem to love going somewhere to take pictures rather then enjoy the food though
True the variety is pretty decent but man always run out of places to go and forget little gems like Khyber, have you been to the Nawabs in brum? same here, not a fan of buffets either but the one in Manchester is probably the best I've been to

Iv been to Nawab's in Manchester because of the hype and to take pics with the water fall (not)lol it was decent at best, haven't been to the one on Highgate road yet. Been to ziryabs when it newly opened I found the food decent and rawal village was great initially but other then that all the other buffets like haveli, lazzat etc have been trash from day one hence they have closed down. Personally I like to order from a menu as I know what I want and I can enjoy otherwise us desis go mental when we see loads of food wanan try it all. It's true most people just go out to these so called posh places to take pics and show the world what a lavish lifestyle they have. However big fan of shere Khan and tipu sultan those lamb chops though scrumptious. Haha.

I haven't been to Nawab's in ages, these buffet places tend to lose their shine after you've been a couple of times and the novelty has worn off. But Nawabs did it really well as far as buffet joints can do them well. It's a huge place and to make it work is impressive in itself.

I've been to the one in London, I really liked it the first time, the 2nd time not so much, I think cos we went during ramadhan so obviously we went at iftar time and it was so packed.

True, I've noticed that too buffets in our city are great at first but then just decline big time. Manchester Nawabs is decent but I say they are the best only due to consistency, not incredible but not bad either. I went to Jimmy Spices to when it first opened but am not sure what is like now, tried Lazzats, Haveli etc but like you say we're the type of people to give them a chance but when we're thinking of going again they are so bad that by then would have closed down lol I do prefer the menu but once in a while a buffet can be an ok option back in the past when I use to be unsure what to order, these days if am unsure usually would head to My Lahores but they are always so busy. Those restaurants with great presentation do have gems here and there to, the lamb karahi at Tipu Sultan is decent and I use to love the Lamb Biryani at Shere Khan to but I heard the quality over there has gone down big time, Akbars use to do some amazing lamb chops but they are a bit bland now, their Keema Cheese samosas are still the best though

Not sure if it’s the best food in the world though certainly the experience of eating karashi gosht which consisted purely of fat and was cooked in fat, sitting on a charpoi surrounded by friends in the middle of Namak Mandi in Peshawar under the blanket of stars was one of the most memorable eating experiences I have ever had.

Rambil Kebab House at Tarru Jabah in Peshawar
Anyone in Peshawar been to this place? I had the most awesome experience in 2005 and after 14 long years I finally was able to go to the same place again and man I was not disappointed one bit.
8 Chapli kebabs, 6 naans, 4 pepsis, 3 jugs of green tea all for Rs 1100. Ambiance sucked and was totally unsuitable for a family but great value for money

It is by far the best chapli kabab in KP. To elevate the experience, you need to take your own eggs and bone-marrow because they usually don’t have them and it’s an incomplete experience without them.

Whenever you ask them for eggs and bone-marrow they say that you don’t need them with our kababs. That is probably but it elevates the experiences anyway.
That is why we have been taking our own for years now.

One of the oldest Kebab house in Peshawar and one of the best also. But if you have some time go and visit Darra Adam Khel, you will love their Kebab too.

Had the best 4 cups of Doodh patti chai and 4 cups of kahwa for Rs 80 at a local dhaba in Peshawar. Literally a steal. Way better than these posh chai khana burger places where people pay Rs 500 for a cup of chai
