Looking at the way, the whole world is in awe oh him. The way he gets showered with red carpet welcomes, standing ovations at his famous speeches, everyone wants a piece of Modi ji literally speaking & last but not the least he’s an ambassador of peace, the voice of logic in a chaotic world.

Nevertheless, who are your top 5?

His fans would say top 3. His detractors would instead say he is one of the most evil person in the world. There's no middle ground when it comes to Modi.

Kindly refer to him as either PM Modi or Modi ji.

You’re not a Pakistani. Show proper respect to your honourable Prime Minister.

Thank you.
Bhaijaan.

Hmm, you're right. I usually refer to him as Modiji. Just a slip on my previous post.

This «ambassador of peace» should get the Nobel peace prize like some AOP have got it before him.

I appreciate your sense of awareness and acknowledgement of this. No offense taken. Let’s just be careful and respectful. Cheers brother. Have a great day.

My Top 5 world leaders at present :-

1. PM Modi
2. Vladimir Putin
3. MBS
4. Xi Jinping
5. Ms Meloni

Imran Khan and Modi are the tallest leaders in the world right now. West should learn proper governance from them.

Only because the greatest and tallest leader is currently in Jail.

As soon as Imran Khan walks out of the jail he'd assume his place as the most righteous, powerful leader.

No doubt about that.
Really hope it happens.

Modi is definitely not among top 5. No way.

Vladimir Putin and Erdogan are possibly the most charismatic and influential leaders post-WW2.

Let’s not compare IK with Modi.

IK symbolizes the struggle and essence of democracy in a 3rd world country whereas Modi symbolize perverting a religion to gain power as an elected PM in a 3rd world country.

Can't be a GOAT in the traditional sense when he was banned from UK/USA on grounds of religious terrorism.

Glorified of all terrorists - GOAT - for sure.

I can only LOL at this thread.

Glorified aatankwadi is all what he is

i am not sure what nonsense this is about, but here are the metrics by which a leader is measured:
  1. Economic Performance: Modi received a well oiled and well running economy and yet managed to goof it up. With him at the helm, the economy shed 27M manufacturing jobs, the share of the agricultural sector rose rather than fell (and if you are wondering if that is a bad thing, keep in mind sustenance agriculture is not what helped india climb out of poverty). Oh keep in mind this is before COVID hit, when another 11M jobs were lost.
  2. Fiscal Reform: Banking crisis (read the abstract if you cant be bothered with the whole paper, its on page 2), non-solvency and defaults. That is his legacy. I wont blame him for it all, there is enough blame to go around, but he has had 9 years to implement the equivalent of Dodd-Frank, or Glass-Steagall and he has done neither.
  3. Military Victories: None. If anything the whole adventure in pakistan showed us that half our military might is just cos-playing as soldiers. If anything, we unnecessarily lost assets. By comparison, under Vajpayee, in 1999 India secured a clinical, thorough, and efficient victory: it had clearly defined objectives, it had a short timeline, it achieved each and every one of its objectives, there were limited losses, and it did not tarnish its global image.
  4. Consensus Building: If there is one thing he has been worse at, it is this. Non-profits cannot function in india, the Media is a bloody puppet, minorities are routinely brutalized. Consider this: after 9/11 there were a total of a dozen acts of violence motivated by xenophobia in the next 10 years, against minorities and persons of foreign origin. India has more than those in just the past month alone all because someone allegedly ate beef.
Modi may be your dear leader, but he is nothing special. He has not been brave to face the media, he has not done one sit down interview, and he has used the communal saber rattling to tarnish the country. It may be a while before this **** stain is wiped from the country's countenance.

In the end a leader is rated by his global standing , respect.

A leader has to be strong, and if he absolutely has to resort to war, he must.

Modi ji is adored globally.
More than Xi, Rishi, Biden or Ms Meloni
Even Putin is not revered as much as Modiji

You go abroad and right from
Taxi driver to CEO everyone says Modi good, Modi nice, Modi great leader

Modi is no leader for goodness sake. China sitting on Indian land building villages and Manipur burning as well followed by the Sikh situation. This guy just ignores it saying all is well. America itself banned from visiting them before he became PM.
