It is always going to be a subjective and highly personal list for every individual hence no point of arguing with each other but I encourage people to mention their reasoning behind their list and what qualities of the leaders picked by them were the most crucial and praiseworthy.
Here’s my Top 5 so far :-
1. Narendra Modi
Here’s my Top 5 so far :-
1. Narendra Modi
- By far the greatest global leader of the 21st century. The chosen one in 1.4 billion. The most loved person on this planet. The one who revived Sanatan Dharma in Kalyug. 3-0 as a PM candidate in world’s biggest democracy. Immensely popular. A crowd favorite. A media favorite. Super high energy, dynamic and charismatic leader. Took charge of Bharat when the nation desperately needed strong leadership and now the country cannot imagine its future without him. His role in the Russian- Ukraine war earned him the title of the global ambassador of peace.
- Ever since the dawn of the 21st century, many global leaders came and went yet one man stood his ground for decades and it’s none other than the premier of the great Russian empire Vladimir Putin. A silent assassin, Putin is a no nonsense leader. The molecules in the room realign when he enters, such is his aura. Russia was slowly becoming irrelevant when Putin just joined politics but he lead the most remarkable turnaround for his nation.
- The man who protected the Jewish homeland while surrounded by Islamists in all directions. Benjamin Netanyahu bolstered Israel’s security, economic modernization, and diplomatic achievements, most notably the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations with several Arab countries. He is credited with bolstering Israel's defense through the Iron Dome and opposing Iran's nuclear program. Domestically, he transformed Israel into a high-tech economy, though inequality remained an issue. His tenure also saw deep political divisions, fueled by nationalist policies and ongoing corruption charges, which made him a polarizing figure in Israeli politics. As Israel's longest-serving prime minister, Netanyahu’s impact on both domestic policy and the broader Middle East remains significant.
- His transformative economic and social development, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to regional stability and diplomacy has cemented his legacy as the one of the role model leaders of all time. Under his leadership, the UAE has evolved into a global hub for business, tourism, and innovation, exemplified by the rapid development of Dubai into a major international city. Sheikh Mohammed has championed ambitious initiatives like the UAE Vision 2021, aiming for sustainable growth, enhanced education, and a diversified economy away from oil dependence. His focus on technology and innovation led to the establishment of initiatives such as the Dubai Smart City project and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre. Additionally, his role in promoting tolerance and cultural exchange, highlighted by hosting the Abraham Accords, reflects a commitment to fostering peace and cooperation in the region. However, his leadership has also faced criticism for human rights issues and restrictions on political freedoms, contributing to a complex legacy that balances modernization with traditional governance.
- Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), is truly THE leader of the future. His bold economic and social reforms under his Vision 2030 plan, aimed at diversifying the kingdom's oil-dependent economy and modernizing society. He has promoted a more moderate form of Islam, allowing greater freedoms for women, including the right to drive, and opening up the country to tourism and entertainment. MBS has also consolidated power, weakening rivals within the royal family. However, his legacy is also marred by human rights concerns, most notably the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which sparked international condemnation. While he is reshaping Saudi Arabia’s future, his leadership remains controversial globally.
