I have reluctantly had to pose this question after observing closely for a few years.

First and foremost, I could care less about who rules Pakistan. I don’t pay my taxes there, I don’t earn my living from Pakistan. I honestly have no intention to ever going back and living in Pakistan either. It’s great for wedding holidays but that’s about it really for me. Nice, cheap street food and restaurants as well.

But for those who are strong supporters of Imran Khan’s ideology and perspective of Pakistan, I have come to realise that they will not settle for anything besides Khan’s government in charge of the country. If they win the elections, it’s great for them and Pakistan will be advancing according to their views. If they don’t or are out of power, the leaders are evil and corrupt to the core for them, they will not acknowledge any other leadership besides Khan or PTI. Fair enough, it’s their view and they are entitled to get what they want through proper channels.

From what I can see, Pakistani politics is just too complicated for a fair and democratic outcome that would suit all of its citizens (home and abroad). The PTI phenomenon is too big and too strong now, but they will not be able to always be allowed to remain long enough to make the changes they like for the nation.

This cannot continue, it will just lead to more and more chaos. Maybe now is the time to realise that PTI and Imran Khan’s ideology is in fact a completely separate national identity that deserves its own space, it’s own foreign and internal policies and it’s own National protection agencies instead of having to cooperate with the other establishment.

It is better to separate and dissociate instead of continuously fighting and sustaining this tense political atmosphere. Indian Muslims and Pakistanis are Muslims still just divided by a border. Indian Punjabis and Pakistani Punjabis are punjabis still but just divided by a border. Maybe it is the right way to go and make a border between Pakistan. People deserve to live in peace, not ongoing continuous political strife. Let the people of Pakistan choose which Pakistan they want to identify with, and let them live in that Pakistan with peace and serenity.

That's done by holding an election and not by making a new country.

When it's scheduled to be held? I meant what's the time line? Is it every 4 years or 5 years?
Whenever, was there any schedule for the partition or the formation of Bangladesh?

I just find it funny man, the Pakistan Democratic Movement has a president who’s a maulana, which is supported by Pakistani’s who don’t want religion to have any part in politics, and try to copy the west basically.

A democratic movement that’s afraid of elections.

A democratic movement that’s arresting politicians for practicing their freedom of speech.

A democratic movement that partakes in vote rigging as seen in videos in the Karachi local elections.

Basically, PDM is more right wing than left wing, but their supporters don’t see it because they’ve never really had democracy.

Pakistan politics is more entertaining than our current cricket team, everything the PDM does is the equivalent of an inzi runout.

No sane person would want civil war in the country. Pakistan has gone through many such crisis in the past. Since 90's, I always heard that Pakistan is on the verge of disintegration or collapse or defaulting. Nothing has happened.
Every few decades or a century, every country gets a cult like figure who seem to wield the power to cause civil war. Imran seems to be that figure. Pakistan will get bailed out again. They are a very resilient bunch.

Why are you coming to conclusion that people in Pakistan wants a partition?

It's a simple matter of holding regular election as per schedule and let people chose. Even people in Bangladesh did not ask for partition. Partition was due to not allowing elected leader to hold the power.

Just hold election at regular schedule.
Make sure election are proper ( This is ongoing effort to make the process better)
Whoever wins, opposition should peacefully transfer the power. There should be no say by Army here.
Do that without interruption for 25-30 years, slowly but surely army influence will keep getting less.

After 30 years, Pakistan will have functioning democracy. There are no short cuts.
Don't rely on any individual or organization. Make the process better. Develop the institution.

Think what you mean is that the atmosphere is so polarized that only solution is to break up Pakistan. I will counter by saying that this is how democracy works.

Look at the USA

Trump vs Anti-Trump - but the country continues to run, as one.

But do the PTI believers believe Khan is out of power right now because of democracy? They do not. When Khan will be in power again in the future, it will be democratic once again for them. That’s the honest impression I get.

+1

Let the institutions mature then Trump vs Anti-Trump becomes a small blip in a long march of nation.

I take you back to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's election in 1973. The same thing happened and he was overthrown after protests around the country. This is how we roll in Pakistan.

Is it Imran Khan's fault that he is such an inspiring, famous individual with unparralled local and international following. Is it PTI's fault that their manifesto, agenda is totally uniquie to the rest of the political parties in Pakistan?

Who is blaming him?

If that’s the case, it’s better for him to have a separate country that associates with his identity which is a unique manifesto

It doesnt work that way. constitution tells you how to run the country and it says elections will take place after 5 years.

You cant have elections whenever you want. For that you need assemblies to be dissolved by the ruling govt.

Pdm has been one step ahead while pti was always behind because pti doesnt know how to run the National assembly from where the country is run

PTI have got the foot through the door by winning once and they don’t want to let go with the current democratic rules. They will use all these arrests and whatever injustices they feel (including the attack on IK) as their leverage to warrant national rebellion at some point. Pakistan is heading towards chaos and anarchy

How is the pti so called phenomena so big?

2018 elections which wrre rigged by isi as admitted by bajwa, they only got 34 percent of the general vote count. Even the majority of the peiple dont support them.

They lost local bodies every where left and right. Karachi which was won by PPP, pti couldn't do zilch there.

Just because you see posters supporting a party, it doesn't mean zilch. Ground realities are much different

The support is mixed and trust me no party really has a majority.

Any govt comin in is going to be a coalition

Pti made the biggest mistake in its life by getting the 2018 elections rigged. They were made fools.

After they had elections rigged they repaid the favor to the army by doing whatever they requested. They gave bajwa extention.

When that happened i said on this forum that the army is no ones friend here. The army that supports you will one day turn against you. The posters here used to laugh and enjoy the army influence and day that pti and army are on the same chapter.

Eventually army act was what caused ptis downfall. They gave bajwa extention and same bajwa destroyed them.....

Pdm was always one step ahead only because pdm knows how to run NA. Imran had no clue and was always behind. Pdm were able to pull off things only because of imrans naivity.
Imran had no idea how to run the country as he had no idea what the constitution was. They got vonc motion in and imran was trying to dissolve assemblies or begged his speaker to delay..... That only exposed how dumb he was..

Pakistan will never go towards anarchy. Establishment controls this country and wont ever let it cause anarchy

I suppose Sindh, Balochistan and KPK are already separate from Punjab which is defacto Pakistan.

Strip Lahore of power, give it back to Karachi, we may see change.

Biggest problem is the inherent Punjab-centric racism

Not sure what you do for living , but looks like one lucky man who has lots of free time on his disposal .

PDM has been one step ahead in the National Assembly AND 20 steps ahead in destroying the country.

This is why many people claim PTI to be a cult. Look at the supporters in this thread. Logical men who will give you rationale in all other topics lose all that when you say anything about their leader
