What's new

Is PTI actually doing a good job so far?

PMLN and PPP loans do not count. They had every right to loot the country.

They expect IK to solve the problems they have created. We have guys that were offered carrots desperate for to get their own back and can't explain what happened to the $60bn that was borrowed, they can't explain why not a single institution has been left standing by these criminals, they have even managed to destroy the LHC, not a single SOE isn't losing billions because they took bribes to fill up these organisations with party acolytes. These are not democrats, this is the mafia.

Mush was a dictator and he had no business ruling but I will take Mush any day of the week over democratic Nawaz and Zardari. Also what type of "democracy" is this that the party can only be given to your offspring or relative/husband. Heck the Pak Army is hundred times more democratic than these political parties. Only the top officers in the army make it to General level and then the most competent of those is picked as COAS.

Also these folks keep forgetting that Mush left an economy that was growing at 7-9% with minimal current account deficits, trade deficit and excellent numbers for FDI. Then "democracy" came and as we know "democracy is the best revenge".
Firstly, I don’t get too hung up on who is a dictator and who is not. I really couldn’t be bothered by system of governance.
I only get worked about who has done more to destroy the country’s sovereignty.
Musharraf destroyed the country’s sovereignty by not reigning in the dogs that made Pakistan an international pariah. Like other dictators he did some stuff right. But in the end his negatives outweigh there positives.
The ppp and the PML on the other hand have really done nothing of note other than self preservation: ppp’s crowing establishment is the passage of the 18th amendment. Whereas the PML, if you ignore the low class corruption that all political parties have, has basically wrecked the economy by running useless vanity projects and spending money which they don’t have.
I don’t really fault the pml for corruption, that’s a human condition. I fault their economic mismanagement

To each his own, in my opinion economic mismanagement is a major facet of corruption. They took $60b in loans and have nothing to show for it, obviously these loans were taken to build wealth abroad by the PM and his cabinet down to the lowest clerk.

So Imran bhai had to take a U-turn on the GIDC today.

Who the hell are these «new» faces in PTI? As I stated the other day the quicker Imran get’s rid of these the better. These Omar Ayub Khans, Naseem Babars, Firdous Awans and the few others in the presser has nothing to do with the ideologies of PTI. They are pure «lotas» along with Sheikh Rasheed and Fawad Chaudary. They are only interested in money. These people are really hurting PTI.

They havent taken money out of the country, and as far as we know they have no plans to.
Low standards, but recall that we have had non for a longgg time.

No because no matter what they do , the standards set by the previous PPP and PML N governments are so high when it comes to governance and achieving excellence in all fields as we all know , that PTI will look ordinary in comparison.

The calibre and exceptional leadership qualities of Prime Ministers like Yusuf Raza Gilani, Raja Parvez Ashraf and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi , even if you leave aside all time great leaders like Nawaz Sharif and Zardari for a minute - to go from such visionary leaders to such a mediocre PM as Imran Khan, it’s clearly a step down.

In times like this with all that is happening internationally , Pakistan could have really benefited from an intellectual, wise and strong leader like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who being so well spoken, graceful and articulate , he could have given a truly historic speech at the UN General Assembly this year representing Pakistan and questioning the conscience of the international community for their silence on Kashmir.
