Arsenal have won the FA Cup but will not be in the Champions League next season. This was a rather poor season for them, while the aging Wenger seems to have run out of answers in the Premier League. On top of that, the club has gone many years without acquiring much success.

Have Arsenal made the right decision by holding on to Wenger?

Yeah, if you're a Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Man City fan :afridi

He should have gone. It's clear he can't take the team forward. Look at how many months it took for him to change the system even when the team was struggling with 4-2-3-1.

He isn't going to change. He won't give Steve Bould more of a say, he will still negotiate on transfers and players wages which is absolutely ridiculous.

Wenger has too much control. Hopefully over the next 2 years the board will come up with a plan for life after Wenger.

Correct in my view but he needs some guidance.

Yes with a good sporting director, a transfer warchest and some guidance, he will win the league. #InArseneWeTrust

Poor decision and club will continue to not compete for title and go backwards!

As someone said its good for other rival fans. But to be honest they have to see if there are better replacements out there who can join Arsenal. Honestly speaking I dont think there are any better managers available in the market. I think if Diego Simeone does not win anything next season could be tempted to switch to Arsenal. Him and Thomas Tuchel are perhaps the only high profile managers who can perhaps take over from Wenger.

I think even David Moyes could deliver a Premier League title victory if a big club persisted with him regardless of prolonged underachievement the way Arsenal have been doing with Wenger.

I think that's a stretch too far. David Moyes has been a broken man ever since he got sacked by United. Even Steven Pienaar has talked about his lack of passion and aggression in the dressing room, and how he's isn't scared of Moyes like he was at Everton. Though I do see what you're trying to say.

Arsene has had his time. Last season and the one before were the same as well. His methods of coaching now seem to be somewhat outdated. I know it would be difficult for him to admit that but for the benefit of the club and himself he has to move on. He has some good memories to take with him if he does the right thing by quitting. Almost half the stadium was empty for the recent defeat at home to City saying it all. The writing is on the wall, it is time for him to leave gracefully or he should be sacked. A new start will be good for all involved.

All rival fans want Wenger to stay, because Arsenal will never be a threat in the title race as long as he stays.

It was a stupid decision to keep him on. Thankfully he doesn't seem to have as much power but his tactics and ability to motivate players hasn't improved.

I cannot take another season of Wenger.
