He has always been an awful keeper but he is still nowhere near Kami level atrocious. Kami's drops evoke PTSD for me as a Pakistan cricket fan. His drops of Hussey in the 2009 Sydney Test, the Ross Taylor drops in the 2011 World Cup. This guy's wicketkeeping ended Shoaib Akthar's career.
A superb 100 by Sarfraz his best Innings.
Drops chances. Allows the opposition to score 200 extra runs. Then scores a 50 or a 100 to reduce some of the deficit.
Sarfaraz is still in deficit in the series. We simply cannot afford him to keep the wickets.
Has cost more runs with his keeping than he has scored.

Let us be honest if one or two drop catches cost like 200-300 runs then your bowling is pure rubbish.People use this logic a lot but it doesn’t work like that. You can’t add or subtract runs like this.
Sarfraz has the best work ethic and ambition to improve himself in the current team.Sarfraz keeping has deteriorated a lot as he got older, but keepers drop catches all the time, cannot blame drop catches for poor bowling and captaincy that allowed huge amount of extra runs.

He will train and erase out his mistakes very easily.
He will attend Training camp while other players eat biryani and Lahori paye.
Yea the man with the belly was the one who hit 4 consecutive 50s including a 4th innings century.Based on your comment, care to explain the tidh (tummy) he has been carrying for last 5-6 years now, even after losing some weight, he still has a pretty big belly for his height. An out of shape keeper will never be good for any team because unless they score 200 runs in each test, they will cost the team much more!
Example is right in front of us in these last two tests, just in the last test he gave Williamson 2 chances at 21 and 27 (that I know off, might be more) and he eventually scored an unbeaten 200!
And it is not like his keeping just got terrible, he has been terrible like this for a long time now!

That man has more drive, ambition, and grit than anyone else on the team. Shakeel only had one job. And that was to bat. And he failed spectacularly. An embarrassing 32(146).
Like I said. Sarfraz is head and shoulders above everybody else in skill. He will improve his keeping and make the haters eat their words.
