Accurate. Provided good control. Had de Zorzi plumb lbw when score was 63 but no one appealedHow did the youngster Asif bowl
Bangladeshi are pathetic wheather they are batsman , bowler or umpires ]This umpire from BD![]()
7 overs left for the day ... 1 more wicket & it would get interesting .
He has bowled with good control, and could had two wickets by now. There is no help from the pitch atm and SA batsmen playing safe when he was bowling.Asif seems soft bowler to me
pak wasted reviews earlier- Had Pakistan more in bank , shan would have taken that reviewCannot believe no umpire wants to give Pakistan lbws. Poor Asif missed out previously too.

Reward for controlled bowling for Asif.Another one. It's that time in the evening session
Ya wannabe afridi goneSlogger gone
on this 4th dismissal , retared Sohail says '' it was expected that this was expected that this pitch will start to turn viciously '' ... what am I missing here , is the com-box full of mental midgets ?
Lower order has been disappointing with the bat. In England series Sajid and nauman had significant contrib with bat which is missing in this seriesGame is in balance after Pakistan lower end completely mucked it with a collapse of 16/5 , they missed 50 runs there. Add to it SA have batted well ,
He has played a very admirable knock, eventhough it has been miserable to watch. And this is coming from someone who doesn't mind watching old-school, attritional test cricket. That means he is evolving.
Apparently Shukri Conrad doesn't believe in nightwatchmen.South Africa should have sent night watch man. They lost a valuable wicket.
Anyone who plays against his nature and does well should be commended. This is not his natural game. ABDV was master of that. Given that SAnhas longer tail.in this match he had to put a price.on his wicket. He has played a very admirable knock, eventhough it has been miserable to watch. Usually it is left to batsmen. Pant always takes a night watch man. He doesn't want to play carefully just because it is late in the day. Brevis is a bit.like that.Apparently Shukri Conrad doesn't believe in nightwatchmen.
But if he stays and builds decent partnerships with other batters, SA have a 25% chance. You get one more wicket and you are into South Africa's tail. I would say Pakistan is still well-placed in this test match with the pitch likely to deteriorate in the coming days. Stubbs has really grinded and gotten in but it's important to note that even he has scored just 66 despite facing 180+ balls, which means that despite his effort he hasn't really been able to take the game away from Pakistan who still lead by 148.
It will be interesting to see if he tries to change gears tomorrow, and how he is affected if Pakistan get some wickets early on.
Verreyene is the only other batter left. Muthusamy and Jansen can bat but I don't think South Africa will have that much confidence in their abilities on this pitch, especially if it starts deteriorating and aiding spin. But if he stays and builds decent partnerships with other batters, SA have a 25% chance.
Exactly. My comment isn't about them playing to win or not, it's more about the team composition where I'm saying that you do not need 3 specialist spinners in the team. You can use 2 spinners and a couple of part timers who can roll their arm over if necessary. Saud & Salman are both capable of bowling a few overs to break the monotony.
A test team needs pacers even if the conditions support spin, as fast bowlers' footmarks create rough patches that assist spinners as the test progresses.
Exactly.
There's nothing in a pitch that warrants 3 spinners over two, it's not like you have to manage workload, they should be able to bowl a lot of overs and if it is turning square should bowl the opposition out quickly.
It's a strategy I really dislike, firstly because it is boring and defensive but it also just makes no sense. An all rounder could have easily played instead of a spinner
They tried flat pitch. England bullied them..Tried seamer pitch. BD bullied them. Spin pitch plus toss win so far have justified their strategy.Cricket without fast bowlers and a sporting pitch is as food without salt - regardless of other spices in it. I usually stay away from such boredom. I have no idea how people enjoy such bland cricket.
what pitch India tried when NZ bullied them? Pots & Kettles! They tried flat pitch. England bullied them..Tried seamer pitch. BD bullied them. Spin pitch plus toss win so far have justified their strategy.
India won world record 17 home series in a row lol so don't compare yourself with other teams. Even with this strategy you could not win against WIwhat pitch India tried when NZ bullied them? Pots & Kettles!
This is the reason I do not argue with Pajeets.India won world record 17 home series in a row lol so don't compare yourself with other teams. Even with this strategy you could not win against WI
You are not understanding why they made pitch like this. They had severe backlash after fast bowlers were traveling at 5 to 6 an over. With zero home wins Pakistan had to resort to this strategy. That is how Bangladesh manages to win a few matches here and there. Make the conditions as alien as possible for visitors. Pakistan is following suit. This is the reason I do not argue with Pajeets.
First, try to understand the subject (pitch and fast bowling) instead of deflection and history of cricket.
