Asif Afridi last played red ball cricket against PTV and scored a grand total of 8 runs in two innings.

Shaheen has scored a few runs in the last few innings but he's also a true number 11 in red ball cricket which means he does not think like a batter nor act like a batter and randomly and blindly slogs for which the first test is a great example.

Yes was very poor and with saffers dropping so many chances it wasmt even spinning like last match. I am sure saffers will bat v well in 1st innings even though rightly they have dropped a batsman amd gone with 5 bowlees who obviously can bat

Unless saud and Agha score big then Pakistan won be getting anywhere near 350 or 400.

Pakistan batted pretty decent in 1st inns of 1st test until the tail decided to ruin all hard work with an awful collapse.

Not sure where your getting the "crying" nonsense from. Most fans have merely stated that the conditions on day 1 we shouldn't be returning a score as poor as we have.

Yes our spinners may bail us out, but as of right now saud and Agha need to batting through entire 1st session tomorrow.

The batting effort isn't poor from Shan, Saud(so far), Agha (based of form) and Rizwan( yes he got out, but he's still an inform batter).

It doesn't change the fact that

A) Abdullah despite scoring a 53 is a comedian

B) Imam has improved so I will reserve judgement for later

C) Babar plays spin like a no 11 batsmen.

Unless Changes are made such as Farhan replacing Abdullah, Kamran Ghulam replacing Babar etc etc

Then PCB continues to shoot itself in the foot.

Eventually Pakistan will get a poor 1st innings total in some future game if Abdullah and Babar keep on playing.

Pakistan is effectively playing with 4-5 batters max. Sajid and Noman aren't batsmen, They can pull miracles here and their but they are not batsmen.

It doesn't matter how South Africa bat and how we fare in comparison.

Our batting was poor in the last match. They have given us countless chances today too.

Obviously the match result is important, but our players aren't always going to get to bowl on rigged pitches, and get favourable conditions to bail them out, they need to be ruthless in all departments.

Because the next side might not give the chances that the South Africans have.

I don't understand why Pakistan fans are unhappy with first day batting. They are complaining low SR. This is not T20..batters doing the right things not throwing their wicket away. I have not watched the match but looks like a slow wicket based on recent home games. In these Pitches matches hardly go to day 5. Most completed in 3-4 days .. imo this is good start by Pakistan in this match. If they manage to score 350+ it will be a good score .. plus the inclusion of Asif Afridi is a very good decision..he is a smart bowler and can be very dangerous in this pitch..just watch out
