With rumours of Babar getting the ODi captiancy and Rizwan showcasing his talent and slowly but surely cementing his place in the team. Do you feel Sarfaraz will be able to make a come back or have we seen the last of Sarfaraz in international circuit?

I feel it's game over for Sarfaraz and with this we should set a precendence that wicket keeper needs to be a good bat as in today's day and age nothing less should be accepted.

In our history the most successful captains have been the ones who have led from the front, if you look at examples of Imran, Wasim, Javed and now Babar Azam they are/were all great players who's success brought the best out of the rest of the players. A mediocre player should not have a right to take over captaincy ever again.

Comments from YK about Sarfaraz's removal from the team.

"This shouldn't have happened with Sarfaraz. OK, PCB had some problems with his captaincy but he should have been retained as a player. In T20Is, we are #1 but still, Sarfaraz should have at least been in that team. According to me, he should be in all the teams. OK, PCB doesn't like his captaincy or he wasn't delivering, but he should have been kept as a player. This sends out a poor message that one day you have a player as a captain and the next day the player is completely out of the team."

to be fair he was only in the team due to his captaincy otherwise even he knew he didn't deserve to be in the team.

Feel bad for Sarfaraz.

He’s a fighter and will be back on merit soon InshaAllah

That's up to Sarfaraz and Rizwan.

Sarfaraz needs to take charge of his career and mount a comeback by scoring runs and staying fit.

If Rizwan keeps performing then Sarfaraz might not have a say. Let's see.

I respect Younus for his service as a Pak premier batsman but that is hypocrisy on his part. On Fawad he is saying that he has been a performer for years and should have been given an opputunity.

Why doesnt same apply to Rizwan and why should Sarfaraz have been persisted with in all formats?

Below are the domestic stats of Rizwan:

So why doesnt Rizwan deserve the opportunities he is getting.

Again Younus needs to start controlling his emotions and stop taking unnecessary digs at others as its helping nobody's cause.

Should be the end, i hope we never see his face again in international colors.

This guy had over 3 years and his fitness declined every series. He deserves no sympathies what so ever.

He was getting PAID to play, he wasnt there for free...

He shouldnt have taken advantage of his position.
And actually improved his skills and fitness over that time.

Yet some how he his batting declined, his wicket keeping declined and his fitness was that of a 50 year old uncle.

I honestly think Sarfaraz has an in for the t20 team and the world cup.

Rizwan is not made for t20s and definitely not to play at number 6/7 . . That's for starters.

Secondly, we dont have a second opener . . Ahsan Ali from what I saw isnt cut out to be in the national team . . Fakhar has lost it . .and I see no one else on the horizon . .

Henceforth, if sarfaraz is smart . . He should open for Quetta gladiators . . Make a ton of runs. . And make a case for his return to the national t20 team as an opener . . That also opens up a spot down the order for a batsman . .

Other than this, I see no way back for sarfaraz! Cuz for ODI and Tests, I think rizwan is in for the long haul.

Sarfraz may be an upgrade over Rizwan in T20s but he is not Int. standards either. He has zero power and T20 is all about power hitters. Pak needs a make shift wk batsman who can hit.

Hopefully. The worst thing that has happened to Pakistan cricket in a long time.

Disagree with YK. Sarfaraz’s sacking is a good message to all cricketers - perform or perish. One cannot rest on past laurels (CT 17) or even hide behind captaincy if they cannot make a team on merit.

Shukkar rabba. 2 nafil shukraane ke paru ga if I don't see him in any international cricket. One of the worst player I have ever seen.

I think this is a strong argument to suggest that the PCB is better off without Younis Khan.

What logical person would have kept him in the team as a player when the reason he got ousted was due to his inability to bat/keep at the required level?

Really?

Worse than spot fixing? Worse than the Lahore attacks? Worse than oath gate?

I worry for your patients if you really are a doctor.

*While diagnosing a common cold...

Mamoon: My god this is the worst illness I’ve seen in my medical career.

Petrified patient: oh no what is it?

Mamoon: I’m afraid you have a cold...

Patient has a heart attack before you even finish that sentence*

I don't wish that anyone's career is ended abruptly. I hope that Sarfaraz works hard on his fitness, batting skills and attitude, and makes plenty of runs in PSL and domestic circuit to earn his place in the national team.

It would take a major improvement in his batting.

If he has the right attitude (and he's a proven winner, so I won't write him off) he may be back. Away from the spotlight he might have the time & opportunity to work on his batting. Play some T20 leagues & possibly even a county stint or SA stint or something to challenge himself & play regular, tough cricket.

If he can't do that, Pakistan should be looking forward, not over their shoulder.

The fate of his international career depends on how he performs in the upcoming PSL, how Rizwan performs over the next couple of months, and of course mainly how strong his lobby is.
