Is Shamim Chowdhury one of the best commentators around these days?

I disagree about Fazeer.

He does and DID bore me. The game is tensely poised in a huge chase in the 4th innings (WI vs ZIM) and the guy can't even be bothered to talk about the game. Has to talk about racial composition of Trinidad club sides in 1930, or other non-related subjects.

Shamim Chowdhury has a pleasant voice and he's a nice guy but he doesn't understand modern white ball cricket.

Shamim should be Bangladesh's only commentator in ICC tournaments. Infinitely better than Athar Ali Khan, who is the Ramiz Raja of BD cricket.

Personally, I think Shamim is ok. Athers, Nassir Hussain, Warne and Bishop are my favourites. Also, have heard Urooj Mumtaz for the first time today, and she's seems pretty confident, establishing a rapport with the other commentators and actually had something to add, rather than just describing the action only
