Is there a need for cricket broadcasting to introduce new statistical metrics?

Especially in ODIs and T20s

I have had this feeling for a whole that a simple Average+SR combo for batsman and Average+Economy rate+SR combo for bowlers just doesnt cut it anymore in terms of being able to statistically judge a given player

There is so much more useful information which can be given to judge a player

For eg. Stats such as dot ball percentage, boundary percentage, etc would give us a lot more idea about a player.

I know for WC 15 Star sports tried to introduce new statistics but oftne they were pointless such as India has 85% chance of winning if Dhawan and Kohli score 100s - No ****!

Why broadcasters don't display height and weight under cricketer profile like in other team sports?

This is a very common practice in many team sports to display height and weight details under each player profile.

They don't show it in football either

They show it in sports like boxing, NFL, maybe basket ball as height and weight have big bearing on these sports

It isn't important like it is in American football, basketball, boxing, MMA etc.

True, makes sense. However, if they add these details then we will know that taller bowlers get might more bounce than other bowlers.
