Is this India's best bowling and the weakest batting unit ever in a World Cup?

India has been a batting power house , almost always . Traditionally its their bowling which had been their relatively weaker point. Now, with one of the best fast bowling attack for limited over cricket, backed by quality spinners, India never had such a strong bowling squad ever in their WC squad

Batting line has some big names like Sharma, Dhawan , Dhoni and Kohli, but other than Kohli, all others have been inconsistent at international level recently and have passed their prime. I don;t think India, by their own high standard , had such a weak batting line up ever in the past.

Will the bowlers make up for the weakness in batting, only time will tell.

Dhoni needs to bat at 4.

1.Rohit Sharma
2.Shikhar Dhawan
3.Virat Kohli
4.MS Dhoni
5.KL Rahul
6.Kedar Jadav
7.Hardik Pandya
8.Ravindra Jadeja
9.Mohammad Shami
10.Jasprit Bumrah
11.Yuzvendra Chahal

The top 3 is strong. Dhoni is still effective when chasing lower totals. I think the middle order is weak but the rest of the team is very strong.

Surely Kuldeep over Chahal? I understand the thinking with a left-arm bowler there to increase the batting depth but India's trump cards with the ball are Bumrah and Kuldeep. Latter took 6/25 in the first ODI against England at Trent Bridge.

I think the 2003 Indian team also had a very strong bowling attack with Zaheer Khan, Nehra and Srinath.

best bowling squad for sure but nowhere near the worst batting squad.
How many will prefer 92,96 or 99 batting squad over current one.
