Seeing how batsmen are able to tee off at will in this world cup we can safely say this is the most batsmen friendly world cup. Today Morgan, Bairstow, ROot. Yesterday Shakib, Litton Das. Hafeez vs England, Butler vs Pakistan. Alex carey vs India, CoulterNile vs WI. Only tough century i can think of in this world cup is Rohit Sharma's vs South Africa. All the stand and deliver batsmen profited significantly from this world cup.

One cannot help wonder how the heck West Indies missed out on these pitches when they have so many stand and deliver bastmen in their line up. THey might click against one team. Also Maxwell is due for a 100 on these pitches.

Although it helped bowlers in paches, it is an overwhelmingly batsmen friendly tournament. SO many 300 plus totals.

Naw except BD teams are hardly able to chase ,2015 still had way more flat pitches..

More to do with pressure of chasing rather than pitch helping a team. Ball just pings of the bat. The three sixes that Litton Das hit agains Oshane thomas was insane.

*****, 2015 wc was way more batsman friendlier, dont even get me started on that

2015 WC pitches were certainly flatter. Heck even CT17 pitches were flatter than these.

The weather has made many of the pitches two-paced and with variable bounce. When there is moisture in the pitch it helps both seamers and spinners.

But it's always been the case on English pitches that once you settle in as a batsman, there are big scores for the taking.

Even in 2002 teams were making 320+ on these pitches like in the NatWest final.

CT 2017 pitches were plain ridiculous. The pitches this world cup have been better.

Enjoyed today's match as it was more of an even contest between bat and ball.

60m boundaries, sixes flying around all over the place, flat decks - not for me thanks.

Totally agreed. I think matches between 260-320 are ideal.

Exactly. I don't necessarily mind 320-330 games, but they're only fun to watch once in a while. 270-300 provides a good range of defensive batting, aggressive batting and wickets.

Facts, good job to the pitch curators for making games like this in the wc possible. I dont want to imagine what it would have been like if the pitches were like the England series.

We've seen a variety of pitches in this tournament so credit to the ICC curators.

Flat, green, bouncy, turning, a bit of everything.

So much for the conspiracy ** surronding this world cup that needs to die in a fire asap.
