Islamabad United (137/0) inflict a historic 10 wicket defeat on Quetta Gladiators QTG (133)

IU’s young pace bowling battery is pretty solid with Wasim Jr, Akif Javed, Zeeshan Zameer, Muhammad Musa and with platinum pick of Hassan they have got that experience as well along with Faheem.
 
Very close call but, I think benefit of the doubt went with the batsman.
 
The 3rd Umpire took forever (9 minutes) to make the decision and now a strategic time-out. This is poor planning.

Faheem has actually done pretty decentlyin last year or so and has been progressing.

Situation plays a role and any batsman with basic game awareness adapts accordingly. He is the last specialist batsman so he needs to take it deep which is good in his behalf
 
Hassan needs to be careful with his celebrations otherwise he won't be making any good friends in the side which might lead to infighting in national team.
 
Yet another low quality match in PSL.Local batting talents are really pathetic but I'm really impressed by Mohammad Wasim bowling .he will soon Play for pakistan national team.
 
IU not happy with the concussion substitution - Naseem Shah for Dre Russell.

The rules state that it should be a like for like replacement.

the concussion replacement worked in our favor even though Quetta didn't follow the rules.

Just six balls, an over, into the second innings of the match and Quetta already done for the day, unless a miracle happens, of course.

By far the most mediocre team of this edition. A pity! Sarfaraz needed a stronger team than this to prove his doubters wrong - thinking from his point of view, of course.
 
This shows how poor Pakistani batsmen are. Every-time there is a foreign batsmen they always play with much more ease than the Pakistani counter parts. Munro and Khwaja making it look easy.
 
Worst bowling performance since the resumption of PSL if not the entire season

But, bowling has made both Munro and Khawaja look much better than they are. Bowling is all over the place with, leg stump line when square leg is inside and bowling way outside of with extra fielder outside.

They look like a team already looking at PSL7.
 
Sarfaraz is done. He can't bat, that was known. But now he can't even captain. Absolute sham of a performance by QG.

It would be interesting to see how they approach this as this will be second season in a row with mediocre performances, will they be looking at the team from leadership point of view as well going forward or the focus would just be to changing the squad as clearly a lot of things are not working.

Complete overhaul. Change the captain to start with. New Pak national players, new International players, new local talent. Maybe new coaching staff as well.

Agreed. Will require owners of to be open to change and experiment as surely the things are not working out.
