What's new

Islamabad United (243/5) hand a crushing defeat to Peshawar Zalmi (141) by 102 runs in match 5 of PSL X

Can we just let Farhan bat? Instead of always asking how this will benefit Pakistan?

Typical mentality playing for milestone first

He lost all of his momentum once he started eying up the 50

Today Bobby will show young protege Saim how it's done in chasing this. Hope tulla Agha fails and Bobby scores a 100.

Very Strong batting lineup of Islamabad united

Hack farhan is destroying peshawar here. If he keeps performing like this he should be given chance in international cricket again.

Even though he will fail but he will have earned his chance.

Most of the Pakistani batsmen are sitting ducks on pitches with decent bounce because they play on these low bounce pitches their whole life.

the issue is, you can only base emerging players on their domestic performances. so you have to see who has the best relative performances on these crappy wickets

Gets a hundred and it will be better than Sharjeel’s PSL ton (the first ever)

Feel for the youngster Ali Raza, but this is some monster ball-striking from Farhan. He is middling everything

Farhan hasn’t ever been given consistent chances at international. He’s either been thrown in the middle order or given a few games and taken out.

but 35 from 2 overs

Played 9 T20s, averaging 9. I know 9 games are small sample, but still good enough to mark your presence.

Hesson probably thinks it's not a good idea to bench Gous after just 1 game.

Though I think Short has to play in place of him. They also need to get in Haider Ali somehow.
It's unfortunate Haider Ali can't fit into this XI. Would have really liked to see him in there. But just goes to show what a great side IU have.

It hasn’t been 9 in a row though, I think they’ve been a while apart and half of those games I believe he was coming in at like 5 or 6

He was given chances in SENA. Pitches are completely different. Farhan struggled with the bounce and swing. Plus international teams don't give freebies.

poor guy has never played a T20I in Pakistan

he is an opener and we played him at 5 & 6 at one point. give him time and i have no doubt he'd do well. He has good hand-eye
