This is a joke of an event. A game with a thelogical name but with no india but has uganda and ivory coast. You wont see christian games or hindu games.

Whats even worst is that we only have 3 gold medals in 4 events.
Its not even broadcasted in pakistan.

I only came across this because of arshad nadeem who i have been following.

If arshad is injured i would had preferred if he rested instead of showing up for this event, but than i understand that he has to earn his bread and butter by playing such events and doesnt have the luxury like other atheletes to rest and concentrate on important events.

KONYA: Pakistan's star athlete Arshad Nadeem won first Gold medal for his nation in a Javelin throw event in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games 2022 on Friday.

Arshad showed his talent and skills yet again as he managed to throw at a Games record of 88.55 metres in his second attempt, winning his second Gold medal in five days.

Earlier, Arshad had won gold in Commonwealth Games 2022 as he finished first after managing to throw at 90.18 metres in his fifth attempt, setting a new national and Commonwealth Games record.

He won Pakistan's first Gold medal in Commonwealth Games athletics since 1962.

It should be mentioned here that this is the 25-year-old's fourth international gold medal for Pakistan, as he secured gold medals in Commonwealth Games, South Asian Games, and Imam Reza Cup.

Unstoppable, 2 gold medals in 5 days for this guy. This guy still has an elbow and knee injury so that needs to be sorted out. Eyes on the Paris Olympics and World Athletics Championships now.

Pakistan Gets another medal. In total we have 2 so far, 1 gold and 1 bronze

Pakistan's Altaf-ur-Rehman managed to bag the Bronze medal in Para Table Tennis event.

TURKEY: Pakistani swimmer Bismah Khan qualified for Women's Freestyle 50m swimming event's semi-final in Islamic Games 2022 here on Wednesday.

Following the footsteps of fellow swimmer Jahanara Nabi, Khan shined in the shorter distance heat.

Earlier, Jahanara finished among top eight to qualify for the final of Women's Freestyle 400m.

The two Pakistan swimmers will contest in semi-final and final respectively later today.

On the other hand, Pakistan lost to Turkey in quarter-final match of Archery event.

Arshad Nadeem, who won Gold in Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022, also won Gold in Islamic Games 2022. Altaf-ur-Rehman won a Bronze medal in Para Table Tennis event in the Islamic Games 2022. So far, Pakistan has won two medals in the event.
