This is one of those media contest that both sides will keep saying we killed more enemy soldiers but no one really knows the truth..... RIP to the soldiers who lost their lives from both sides, protecting the nations interests....

RIP to all soldiers who died.

It is pathetic to discriminate on basis of nationality.

dont worry, Aljazeera has reported that 3 Pakistanis and 5 indians died.

India is apparently refuting the report but they initially also refused to acknowledge Kulbushan and Abhinandan.

Na abhinandan is getting greatest bravery award . Plus kulbhushan case, india took to UN. Dnt twist facts. We all know who has the history of twisting facts.

Brainwashed Indians.

They’re like school playground 10 year olds, you simply can’t debate with them.

Reread my post, I said initially which basically means in the beginning. Look up old news article if you want, they said Kulbushan wasn’t Indian and also said they never lost a pilot before Pakistan issued the video.

RIP to soldiers on both sides.

It's always the soldiers that pay the heaviest price.

Pakistan summons Indian envoy over ceasefire violations

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia at the Foreign Office on Thursday and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC).

Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Dr Mohammad Faisal told Indian envoy that Indian army violated the ceasefire at LoC on August15 (Thursday) in Lipa and Battal sectors resulting in martyrdom of Naik Tanveer Ahmad, Lance Naik Taimoor Aslam and Sepoy Ramzan.

Dr Faisal told the envoy that the Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary had continuously been violating the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, which needed to be respected.

"The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation," he added. The Director General (SA & SAARC) urged the Indian side to instruct its forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit, and maintain peace on the LoC and theWorking Boundary.

He urged the Indian side to permit United Nations Military Observer Group for India and Pakistan(UNMOGIP) to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.

This is really sad, both sides.

Lets get mediation and let them settle impartially..
But India says it’s a bilateral issue , and one that can’t be solved through dialogue unless Pakistan agrees that India is judge, jury, and executioner , the date/venue/agenda of any dialogue is also set by India and any pre-conditions met within their prescribed time frame - or else talks are not possible they say.

And oh of course , regarding Kashmir, well that’s ‘our internal matter’ they say even if the rest of the planet sees it as disputed territory - so no talks on that topic, they say.

From the textbook of Israel.

Ita really sad some of these nations like Saudis are being bought, wont be surprised they allowed that 75 bn deal to go through in return for support.

Sad, RIP Pakistani soldiers.

This sort of thing happens all too reguarly. Pakistan should warn India not to fire across the LOC and if they do, missiles will sent back in retaliation. Strike India hard with a proper missile and they wont do it again. Will save lives in the long term.

Let's bomb each other for good with nuclears so that the powerful western world will take notice of Kashmir issue and similar issues in the world to solve them. They way Indians amd Pakistanis talk each other and kill each other - they do not take their life seriously no wonder Animals in the western world enjoy far better living standards than an average Pakistani or an Indian in sub continent. So my suggestion is to all indian and Pakistan tigers both on the internet and on LOC or in Parliament - let's have a final tussle each other and be done with it. No point of dying and having shouting matches every single day. Just do it.

When India fires what do you expect pak to do, sit like lame ducks?

India has been relentlessly trying to engage war on Pak since last year and all ways gets sent home packing.

Funny that Abhinandan is getting bravery award, if anything Kalbhushan probably deserved it more from India's perspective. Although he is terrorist who entered Pakistan to kill people but at least India can claim he was brave enough to risk his life. Abhinandan getting bravery award is  on so many levels.

RIP to all soldiers who died.

It is pathetic to discriminate on basis of nationality.

It is pathetic indeed, they are all humans and family members at the end of the day and people have lost them forever. This could have easily been avoided, in fact we could save hundreds more lives but sadly people like Modi are way too blinded by hatred, greed and power that they can't see beyond their noses. Not being biased but almost all Pakistani leaders have gone out of way to bring India to peace table but looks like Modi is on mission and this will not end nicely for anyone.
All these keyboard warriors who celebrate deaths as if it's Bollywood movie will realize one day it's not a movie or game.

This is sad. What's the point of wasting lives like this? What people need to realize is that soilders from both sides have family and loved ones as well. But keyboard warriors won't care.

RIP all dead.

How does DC ISPR know "6 Indian soldiers including an officer killed"? Does the Indian Army send him a daily report about its losses?

You can stop hyperventilating about Modi. All Indian leaders, not just Modi, over the past 70 years have defended Kashmir by force if needed.

"Peace table" is nonsense, last time India did it seriously was with NS and Vajpayee. As soon as the Pakistani Army realized that relations between the two countries may improve, they started the Kargil War.

There is no reason for the Indian government to trust that the Pakistani Army wants peace, when it maintains its domestic stranglehold over Pakistan by keeping the war with India going.

Soldier martyred, woman dead in unprovoked firing by Indian troops across LoC.

A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred after Indian troops resorted to "unprovoked firing" in the Hajipir sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

The official was identified by the military's media wing as 33-year-old Havaldar Nasir Hussain, a resident of Narowal, who had been in service for 16 years.

A second ISPR statement issued later in the day said Indian troops had also resorted to unprovoked firing in Nakyal and Jandrot sectors, targeting the civilian population.

As a result of the firing, a woman identified as Fatima Bibi, a 40-year-old resident of village Balakot, died, while six others including four women sustained injuries. The injured were evacuated to a nearby medical facility for medical treatment, the press release added.

Pictures shared by the villagers on social media showed smoke rising from the mountains where mortar shells from across the LoC had landed. Several houses were also damaged.

Shariq Talat, a disaster management officer in Kotli, told Dawn that besides Fatima Bibi, seven others were injured in “indiscriminate” Indian shelling. They were identified as Nazia Bibi, 36; Shah Begum, 70; Gul Yasmin, 50, and her 21-year-old daughter Shumaila; Muhammad Lal in Daryari Paalani village; Muhammad Ilyas, 28, a resident of Androth Palani village; and Muhammad Sabir, 48, in Dharoti Mohra.

He said that two buffalos and a goat owned by Muhammad Lal were also killed in the shelling.

According to civilian and military sources, at least 38 civilians have been killed and 187 wounded in ceasefire violations by the Indian army in different areas of AJK along the LoC in 2019. Apart from them, as many as 18 soldiers have also lost their lives.

On Thursday, Sepoy Ghulam Rasool had also been martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian troops in Hajipir sector.

Incidents of firing along the LoC come as tensions remain high between India and Pakistan over the former's move to revoke occupied Kashmir's special autonomy.

Indian envoy summoned
The Foreign Office (FO) on Saturday summoned Indian Charge d`Affairs Gaurav Ahluwalia to lodge a protest against today's "unprovoked ceasefire violations" by the Indian army.

According to a statement issued by the FO, Director General (SA & SAARC) Dr Mohammad Faisal urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement. He also urged that the Indian side permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per UN Security Council resolutions.

"The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-calibre mortars, and automatic weapons," the FO press release said.

It added: "The deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws. The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation."

Just curious, but does the Indian Army give out numbers of Pakistani soldiers killed?

I am pretty sure the two sides don't exchange reports of how many of their soldiers have been killed. Unless the Indian Army announces that its soldiers have been killed, for the DG ISPR to announce "5 Indian soldiers killed, many injured, bunkers damaged." seems like a work of fiction.

dont worry, Aljazeera has reported that 3 Pakistanis and 5 indians died.

How does Aljazeera know how many Indian soldiers were killed unless the Indian Army told them. If it is quoting the Pakistani Army about the number of Indian soldiers killed, that is quite shabby reporting that will not do its reputation any good.

War of attrition continues.

India has more money to buy artillery systems and ammo, so this is not a good war for Pakistan to be fighting.

It is actually a bad war for both countries, as soldiers dying on the other side is no compensation for the families of dead soldiers. However, given the difference in resources, it is worse war for Pakistan to be engaging in.

Just curious, but does the Indian Army give out numbers of Pakistani soldiers killed?

We Indians are too proud to provide something called evidence. Pakistan army shamed us yesterday by providing tonnes of evidence but we fail to produce a single footage. After having seen and critically analyze the entire episode after February this year, I trust the Pakistani army more. At least they are brave enough to acknowledge the casualties at their side. I'm sure they have fact checked that 5 of our soldiers were killed. We have no option but to trust them because we can't trust our own Indian army.

No Army would give out official figures...

"fact checked that 5 of our soldiers were killed"?

You are boring, transparent and annoying. Go away...

Did our army refute the claims of the DG ISPR of Pakistan? That confirms that there have indeed been deaths on our side.

Both sides often don't say when their soldiers are killed. Just some weeks back an Indian general or something tweeted "Pakistan killed 25 of our jawan's last night" adding that he was returning to Delhi. His account was cancelled and his tweet was removed. This received no mention at all in the Indian media, not a word.

But at least Pakistan army is gracious enough to accept the casualties on a daily basis. Indian army is not saying anything!

They do but their tweets are removed by Modi lovers, hooligans and gangs. This is no longer the India of Congress but Modi and RSS's racist India where freedom of speech is not tolerated. If you don't agree with the RSS then they will be knocking on your door to see if you have beef in your fridge freezer and such things! According to the RSS Indian soldiers are never killed at the border by Pak's.

As a secular Indian, I endorse every letter and word of yours. It is unfortunate that hooligan gangs are removing tweets as you mention. I will also have to stay updated with twitter from now on and catch the tweets as and when they're published!

Well I hope tolerant Indians save their country from Muslim hating fanatics. I also speak on behalf of Pak minorities by defending them from extremist nutcases.

Those were Indian and Pakistani trolls on twitter playing with fake accounts. There was an equivalent one with a Pakistani major quitting his post

Perhaps so but the point still stands. You can't expect a tweet on every dead soldier. No they were not trolls by the way. I have see the original post of the Indian General who admitted it.
