Babar has always been top runs getter for most seasons, surely he could have singlehandedly repeated his domination with impact for Peshawar at least once! If not for Peshawar, he also represented Colombo in the SPL…his team finished last that season too in 2023. He scored some runs for them as well. He’s clearly not the most impactful is he?

Accept it, Javed Afridi is done with him. He’s getting sold off next year. You don’t have to carry on with this propaganda.

The rules need to be strict yes. But the league postponement had something to do with players going and coming back in.
Can't doubt the effort of Sikandar and how much he loves playing cricket. At the end of the day, each franchise is only allowed to field 4 oversees players in a game.

Everyone remembers how he single-handedly won Karachi the PSL in 2020. You might not, but I don’t blame you because you were probably 10 years old at the time.

Babar has had other prolific seasons too but 2020 was unprecedented domination and no player including Babar himself has come close to replicating it. If he does, he will walk any franchise to the title.

He was 148 runs clear of the second highest scorer, and the next Karachi batsman was 8th on the list and the leading wicket-taker from Karachi was 10th on the list.

It was a complete one-man show. He is the only reason Amir has a PSL title and the only reason why Imad won the PSL as captain.

Like for like useless player who through his influence will bring down the brand of cricket a team wants to play. So, your owner better be aware of not making a trade that will keep him and his franchise exactly where they will stay.

Your prediction means nothing because neither of us know what will happen in the future. I am just telling you that Zalmi have no intention of parting ways with Babar unless he asks to leave the franchise in which case Zalmi will negotiate with others for a marquee replacement.

There has always been regret at Zalmi for missing out on all three of KP’s biggest stars - Shaheen, Fakhar and Rizwan. Ideally, all three should have been at Zalmi.

Shaheen and Rizwan are hugely influential figures in their respective franchises who will not part ways with them and they are unlikely to ask for a move either.

That leaves Fakhar who can be strongly tempted to replace Babar as Zalmi’s icon player and captain. He has already flirted with the idea of leaving Qalandars numerous times.

Babar is very happy to be at Zalmi but we cannot rule out the temptation of playing for his home franchise who are also in much better shape than Zalmi, and he won’t have issues playing under Shaheen either.
