I can understand that all are upset by the exclusions of certain players and inclusion of King Asif Ali. There is an air of stink about some of the selections today.

However, onto the positive if we reflect back to the away series against South Africa and how much of an outstanding performance Fakhar showed with the bat that he was awarded selection in the t20s as well, the same can happen here if Iftikhar Ahmed, Shanawaz Dahani and others perform in the upcoming ODI series versus NZ.

So chin up we can still make changes till the 10th October!

PCB is just trolling and adding some drama for media. They will bring back Malik, Wahab, Amir, Fakhar before world cup. They did the same in WC19. Amir and Wahab were included at the last moment.

As a poster said above, they made last minute changes to WC19 squad too, so I fully expect the selectors to take a dramatic u-turn when NZ rookies bash the living daylights out of this Pakistan team.

Besides the one i've highlighted in bold i don't agree with any of those selections you've pointed out.

Khushdil i will give some patience to and see what he brings in this series, although i'm not a fan he does bring about some later order power hitting devastation and can seriously elevate your score. It will be interesting to see if he has worked on his off side game.

Muhammad Hasnanin has warranted nothing to be dropped, if i remind you he performed in England as well. Amir is a nothing bowler and doesn't warrant a return in my view.

I'm frankly sick and tired of people calling for Shoaib Malik saying oh he'll do well in these conditions, he's badly out of form and experience is negligible in my view if you are not performing. He's got an average of 8 in the current CPL from the 5 innings he has played.

Wahab Riaz talk about an expensive bowler who will get mauled by the likes of India, he offers nothing on these pitches. Yes if it's in Australia but not here.

I’ve seen enough of Khushdil Shah, it takes him 15-20 balls to get going, and coming in at number 5 he’ll only create pressure for the rest of the batsmen coming after him.

Mohammad Hasnain has pace, that’s all. He’s just another bowling machine and has zero intelligence. He’ll bowl wide of off stump and get smashed for four and the very next ball will be the exact same. He’s just a younger version of Haris Rauf.

If the WT20 was being held in Australia, I’d be the first to say Malik shouldn’t be picked, but these conditions are suited to him. He was Top 4-5 leading run scorers in the PSL, the same PSL where Azam Khan was averaging 17 I think.

Wahab Riaz gets smashed, but he also gets wickets. I don’t mind him going for 30-40 runs if he picks up 3-4 wickets along the way. Hassan Ali is the current new ball bowler alongside Shaheen, and he’s just not doing a good job. Wahab Riaz was bowling really well with the new ball and he should’ve been picked ahead of Rauf and Hasnain.

I'm not gonna rely on Wahab Riaz, you say that you don't mind 30-40 runs being leaked from Wahab but those 30-40 runs can ultimately cost us the match.

Besides even with the current team we've got more than adequate bowling options that could make up the team. Wasim Jr, Shaheen, Hassan Ali, Nawaz, Imad, Shadab- what more do you need??? I doubt Hasnain will get in the playing XI anyways if that's your worry.

Malik is a known failure and the ongoing CPL just shows it, he fails on ICC events and he in my view doesn't merit selection. The issue is we are forced to go with Hafeez and he honours the same role as Malik so we don't need 2 similar players in the starting XI, both are in bad form but Hafeez is a lot better and offers something with the ball.

Fakhar Zaman or ABCD or XYZ, what's the difference? Not a whole lot in my opinion. They are not too far apart apart in talent and skill.

Matter of fact, Fakhar has an extremely poor batting record in UAE, so it's good that he is in reserved. Why not give the chance to someone else?

Yes, Azam Khan is a liability in the field but I guess I am over all OK with the 15 member squad.

Yep, I mean if you have a proper look at the squad it's not all that bad, I mean some changes are required but it could be worse.

I would just like to see Dahani perform as i feel he brings a certain X factor to the team.
