Australian great and former Pakistan Head Coach Jason Gillespie has been appointed as the new Head Coach of Hyderabad for the upcoming Pakistan Super League!

Gillespie brings a wealth of coaching experience to PSL — having previously served as:

Head Coach of Pakistan (2024–25), where he worked on building a new fast-bowling core.

Head Coach of South Australia & Adelaide Strikers (BBL), guiding the Strikers to their maiden Big Bash League title.

Head Coach of Yorkshire (County Cricket), leading them to back-to-back County Championship wins.

Coach of Sussex (County Cricket), focusing on youth development and long-term squad building.

With his proven track record across international and domestic cricket, Hyderabad fans will be eager to see how Gillespie shapes their PSL 11 campaign.

Gillespie’s success suggests he could give this side a real competitive edge in PSL 11. Good to have him back in Pakistan

Sialkot also have an ex Australian captain as their coach apparently. Not sure who it could be

Good luck to Gillespie. I’ll be supporting this new team as I have a friend from the region.

What's surprising? It's a month long coaching job where he will be paid well, stay in hotels and move around with a full security protocol. These are the kinds of gigs every foreign coach wants.

Hopefully this stint works out well for Jason this time round. He deserved a lot more professionalism from the PCB last time round.

Yeah but he's working for the owners, not the PCB. I can't imagine he would ever want to work with the PCB again.

Wasn't Bradburn let go in county cricket because of conduct unbecoming with a female staff.

Why would any respectable franchise want anything to do with him?

Also what are his credentials as fielding coach? When he replaced Steve Rixon as the fielding coach for Pakistan, I remember our fielding went to the dogs.
