Ever since his 4fer vs Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy warm up, he's never looked back.

He's already taken 3 wickets and has bowled some beautiful overs of late.

Is he back to his best? Or is it too soon to say?

If this was Wahab Riaz, he would be called an ICC tournament performer, and a certified place in the side for 2 years...

Wahab's most talked about spell was his 2-52 vs Australia... Junaid seems to have improved on that

Some of the comments on PP regarding Junaid have been disgusting to say the least, I am happy that every hater of Junaid got egg on his face after his back to back superb performances with the ball.

Playing Wahab in place of Junaid was a joke and that too an extremely pathetic joke.

Very good bowling today, but not back to his best yet. Needs to increase his pace.

Junaid always needed a good partner at the other end..

He's bowled with partners ranging from Umar Gul, Aizaz Cheema, Mohammad Talha, Rahat Ali, Wahab Riaz...

the only time he did well was under peak Mohammad Irfan... for around 6 months in 2013

He was always among better ones. Dont know why he get all the hate here.

don't think he will ever be back to what he could have been after all the injuries, but hopefully, he can perform well over the next season or two till more pacers emerge

Back to his best means he would again become Kohli killer. I think he is not back there yet.

Why this Junaid Khan need pace??? Why isn't Hasan Ali asked the same question? What does it matter as long as he has a number in the wickets column..

If you want pace I suggest get Wahab riaz, becasue he has the speed gun on his side, but the brains are awry most of the time

He was never express. He was always late 130's to early 140's.

Yes thats right. He is at his best when his is hitting the seam from good-full lenght at late 130's early 140's. Thats enough speed if you can move the ball of the seam.

He looked very good today and most importantly, he got the ball to nip around.

Amir looked worse than both him and Hassan.

Pakistan fast bowlers tease you so much and then break your heart that I will never say anyone is back to his best.

I don't know that Junaid Khan is consistent enough for this thread. But let us all hope that there is actually a Pakistan fast bowler that doesn't let us down immediately after giving us hope.

Will be brought back down to Earth against England.

Interesting I never thought about it like that. And being an old Juni fan, his decline upsetted me a lot. Your analogy does make sense

Not yet, but he is slowly getting there. He seems to have improved is accuracy. If he can increase his pace slightly and remain consistent than he will be back to his best. Cannot comment about his swing yet, because no one has really swung the ball in this tournament for longer periods of time. I use to be a big fan of his and hope he gets back to his best

I still remember how PP experts kept harping that Junaid is garbage and Wahab needs to be in his place because atleast Wahab is phasssst.

These same experts squirm away when called out on their false logic.

I'm surprised he hasn't lost us a game yet.

Hardly surprising since you are only right 1% of the time. May I remind you how you kept saying Fakhar is a leg-side hack who can't play anything above 135kph.

Or the time where you labelled Wahab as our best bowler.

:))) :))) :)))

Junaid already making PP fast bowling experts seem like a laughing stock...only here will you find people cheering for M. Irfan Jr. and trash talking about Junaid. Absurd.

For these experts the best bowlers are always those who are not in the side.

Again, I already brought up the post that said he was our best test bowler in AUSTRALIA.

Yes, unfortunately Fakhar has proven me wrong after looking at sea against Rabada and will do so against Wood, as well.

But in all honestly the guy can be in the team until we find better options. But he is no long term prospect.

Don't you mean fortunately? Surely a Pakistan win (in terms of performance) matters more than your predictions?

Sarcasm.

It does and I like Fakhar's intent but he's no long term fix and nor is he ever going to be a Sharjeel.

Great stuff from him.

Solid 3rd pacer.

Oh wait nevermind, Bashir/Irfan/Sultan would've taken all 10 wickets if they were playing instead, eh?
