I saw a couple of posters saying how democrats have failed them and how democracy cannot work in Pakistan.

I want to ask them one simple question, we have been under military rule for more than 40 years in our history then why Kalabagh dam never got made? As military rule is established on the basis of badmashi and is forced upon the population it gives them absolute power.

Democrats have failed Pakistan as per these posters even though our main projects such as CPEC, Motorways, Nuclear atomic bomb, PIA, Pakistan Steel Mill etc. have happened under Civil governments but hey we should not let facts get in our way, right?

Anyway, there was accord signed in 1991 between provinces on water resources and due to KPKs and Sindh's strong opposition we have never been to start any work on Kalabagh Dam under democrats.

However, there were no such issues such as opposition during Military rule then why didnt these patriotic fist waving dictators never managed to achieve such an important project for their country?

One interesting point i forgot to add was that in 1991, when the accord was signed, all four provinces agreed to make the Kalabagh Dam under Nawaz government but in 1998 under military rule the work stopped.

Wait a minute... Pakistan Steel Mill happened under Ayub. All these mega dams happened under Ayub. I don't know which civilian government you are attributing PIA to but it is well known fact that whenever these "democrats" come to power they give thousands of jobs in the airline to their jiyalas and patwaris. CPEC was envisioned under Musharraf's military rule and the framework was decided during his time, the implementation started during this present government but even then they didn't have the capability to run it smoothly and most projects are facing trouble.

30 years have been civilian rule why didn't they build the Kalabagh dam??

Heck Musharaf laid the foundation of Daimer-Basha dam and its been 10 year since his rule ended but each "democratic" government does ground breaking on it every year and allocates billions of rupees every year but not a single brick is laid on the ground.

As has been said democracy is the best revenge and the poor nation is paying the price for these corrupt thieves known as the "democrats"

Steel Mill was established under Bhutto rule in 1973 in partnership with Ruskies as Bhutto was pro communism, i dont know where you got that Ayub related rubbish from.

CPEC was envisioned under Musharraf rule? Did you hear that from that traitor's mouth? Because there was no CPEC before 2013.

Like i said in my post, if you bothered to read, KPK and Sindh oppose Kalabagh Dam, you cannot have your way in a democracy unlike military badmashi.

Why dont you answer the question rather than bouncing around and diverting attention, why didnt military make Kalabagh Dam?

So you are ok with military silencing the voice of two provinces?

They seemed pretty content with silencing public and their mandate for 40 years for their own benefit. If they were sincere to Pakistan, maybe they could have used that absolute power for some good.

Yeah maybe they should have sent traitors like Nawaz Sharif to the gallows when they had the chance.

Guess who elevated Nawaz Sharif to the office of Prime Minister? For most people, this would be a rhetorical question but in your case, it isn't since I'm genuinely curious if you know the answer. Army are the biggest opportunistic thieves who have elevated people like NS and Altaf to positions of power when it was convenient for them.

out of all the projects you give credit to civilians for, only motorway is right, everything else happened under army rule or by army in civilian rule like CPAC,

In terms of Kalabagh i think we had more relistic chances only under Musharraf to make it, but he feared media black lash at a time when he was constantly facing the music and prefered basha dam for those reasons.
