IMO Salt has really regressed in recent times. Alot of the time you feel like he doesn't use his brain at all. When you have so much talent and natural hitting ability you need to do justice to that talent.

You're probably right. But Salt is supposed to be one of England's main white-ball openers, much more is expected of him. This year he has averaged 20 in ODI and 17 in T20I, which is very disappointing.

Maybe. I remember his super over against Afridi and U Akmal where he bowled 6 yorkers and gave away only 3 runs ! But that was a while ago.
I disagree. For me its just a question of shot-selection and better judgement. He needs to put more value on his wicket. He is one of the cleanest strikers of the ball but far too often you see him bat recklessly. He has a lot to learn from his opening partner Ben Duckett who isn't nearly as gifted but a far smarter cricketer.

Key is to be precise with yorkers. Bumrah, Gull and Malinga excelled at that.
Game has changed since Gul and Malinga days even though they were experts. Khushdil was batting so deep his back foot was almost touching the stumps! Bowlers need to be smarter now for sure.
