Karachi Kings defeat Lahore Qalandars by 10 wickets in the 26th match of PSL 5

Pick of the bowlers today...Arshad...very smart bowler who gave everything he had to get selected in the future.
 
How can you miss such a juicy full toss...well the name Hafeez says it all when the pressure is on
 
Not to sound arrogant but KK if they place to potential they should walk this. Bobby and Hales are in blistering form.


That being said KK batting is very light with Chacha coming in at 4 I think. Only KK can beat KK here.
 
This is what I hate about the professors and Chief of all departments kind of cricketers...with all the experience behind them, while the pressure is on, instead of playing in front of the wicket, they choose to play those cute cheeky deflections which hardly give positive results. Most of the experienced international cricketers would like to muscle or try to find gaps in front of the wicket but not these kinds
 
Arshad was the young star in bowling today. Not many bowlers in Pak who can hit the deck hard

Yes he briefly joined PakPassion... 3-4 years ago he got into a physical altercation during a domestic match and was banned temporarily by PCB. There was large discussion on it on PP so he joined to give him side of the story lol
 
Not impressed by Sharjeel.

Had high hopes of him...

Haider Ali is the best option for us, I guess.

Nah, I think he was banned for using performance enhancing drugs.

Clarified his side of the story quite well actually.

Maybe the lights are deceiving, but is Sharjeel looking a tiny bit fitter since the start of the PSL? There is some time until the world cup so if he can stick around the team and sort it out, he could find himself back on track. He doesn't need to turn into Kohli, but even getting to his pre-ban physique would be a start.

Exactly. English canvas 99% material of PP so Speaking English can't be a problem for a PPer, which Umaid Asif once was.
 
One thing is for sure, when Sharjeel hits, the sound of the bat is amazing.

Top class cricket. You felt that these two are pretty much at the top of their game, during that over.
 
That is some exceptional stuff from Babar, kudos to Shaheen as well for trying different things
 
Shaheen is such a good bowler. The fact that Babar was toying with him so playfully is testimony to how good Babar is. Shaheen's reactions though :))
 
That Babar Shaheen battle brought the best in both and was brilliant to see. Three super cricket shots and two super yorkers.
 
Hafeez can only get you as far as 150 as we saw today. Lahore need consistent vilayti firepower to carry to 180 as seen in previous match.
 
Fakhar has failed. It's so important for Sharjeel to play a long innings for Pakistan's sake.
 
Dilbar is a very good bowler.

People don't take him seriously because of his name though. :))

Every player cant perform in every match and every tournument. Form fitness etc play role but that is where the selectors and management comes in to identify the real talents and then stick with them. Few poor days cant make someone poor and same is the case with few good days which shouldnt make anyone a star
