Huge occasion for him in his debut T20I for Pakistan - will he impress?

8 off 11 - would have got six in Pakistan for that shot - not in Australia

meh, Perth is probably the worst place to debut for a batsmen from Pakistan. Deserves a longer rope.

Thrown at the deep end, that's about it. Can't make much of a first impression. For a guy who should have been tried in the previous home series, his place was taken by laanti Akmal and Shehzad. That's how we roll in Pakistan.

From what I have seen the guy can't handle anything above 135k even in our domestic pitches so what one can expect from him? Akmal is far more better talent.

Absolutely worst place to debut for any Asian batsman. I don't blame him. His team were 4 down for not many runs, he had to take a risk.

Needs more chances. You have to give him at least 15-20 matches considering the amount of chances Asif keeps getting for nothing.

If the guy is good enough to be chosen then he is good enough to be given an extended run. Let him and Rizwan have a run and then decide, these T20`s will be forgotten quickly but if we find a talent out of them then its encouraging for the longer term.

Another world beater in the ranks!:sohail Give us next years T20 winning trophy right now:shafiq2

I agree he is one of the few batsmen we have suited for T20 cricket and should be given a proper run.

Should be given a proper run. That should be a rule with Pak cricket. New players afforded a proper run and thereby aren’t insecure about getting dropped immediately

I do have to add that although he needs to be given a run, he looked very shaky against any sort of pace. Let's hope the guy can take his chance.

Could be a hero in Asia but will always struggle against quality pace. If Asif can get 40 games without any accountability than Khushdil should get a few as well.

Tough match to make his debut.

Needs at least 10 matches before he can be judged properly.

I want to see him given a few more games as we don’t have many players of his profile.

Give the young lad a chance, needs atleast 10+ matches.

I think his true format is one day cricket ,
Which surprisingly looking pretty good with uncle ifti and this youngster batting at 5-6

Did well whilst batting - 32(47) and now taken 2 wickets to give Pakistan a chance in ACC Emerging Teams Cup

Included in the 12-man squad for the 1st T20I vs Bangladesh - looks like a good chance of him playing

Good opportunity for him to make an impression.

Hasn't done much in international cricket yet.

leg side hack. He needs to improve his offside game urgently. Against BD he may be alright as most the guys are left arm orthodox where ball will come towards him

Has done good so far but does he have the ability to finish up?

Ugly ugly batsman, no business playing at this level until he learns to play on the offside. Don't want to write anyone off for good but at this stage he is pretty poor, don't understand how he got the nod over Iftikhar.

did not watch today's match much whatever I saw of him, he is far below frpm international standard and has not improved , but continue to be selectors favorite , for some reason.

Today's innings was a good innings in the context of the match. But in my opinion he is capable of much more. He can be an important future limited-overs talent for Pakistan at 5 or 6 but he still needs to work on certain aspects of his batting. Particularly strike-rotation.

He is better batsman than Haider Ali.

No he isn’t Haider can do better in future Khushdil is a leg side heavy player averages 25 in first class cricket doesn’t have the ability to be a decent international batsman.

All those above keyboard doctors are critisizing just for the sake of it, Khushdil played a very useful knock on a "kabaddi" pitch where average balls were not bouncing above knee heigh. And cut the crap he hit some shots and boudries on offside. Go watch the highlights again :babar

I thought he played a good innings out of his comfort zone but should have stayed till the end and finished the game

He needs to improve his timing. Was struggling a lot today

So was everybody else . In the context of the game it was a match changing effort for Pakistan. No doubt he needs improving but today’s knock is a step in the right direction considering the pressure he would have been under both in terms of the match situations and personally.

Good innings in the context of the game took his time and formed a partnership.

He certainly has the power game, whether he has the intelligence and passion to improve his game is another question altogether.

His innings was ugly at times but he played a good hand. After seeing him in Intl. colours again, he looked leg-sidish. He's a good puller and cutter but his shot selection can do with improvement. His power is there but his batting in general can improve.
