Junaid Khan is bowling rubbish here

Not sure what his plan is to Rizwan. He is giving him too much room on every ball

Junaid Khan is done

Completely blunt at this level!

Rizwan 25 off 25 in the powerplay

That’s 4.1 overs out of 6 for 25 runs

Wow this Afridi Guy is a massive unit!

And the man is a spinner

Afridi 14 off 4

So this guy can clear them. And he is a good bowler as we have seen

Not bad inning by Rizwan, strike rate could have been a bit better, but Afridi making up for it,carrying forward Afridi clan reputation of big hiting.

16 off 4 and gone.

Then what?

I think he won’t be batting at 4 if he does get selected for Pakistan, but it’s reassuring to know that he is a decent spinner with a ability to hit the long ball.
Titan suggested he could be our specialist spin bowler pick if it isn’t too late. He is clearly a better striker of the ball in comparison to Zahid Mahmood, Usman Qadir etc

Asif Afridi innings:

<div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.250%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/7pp91w" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>

Asif was promoted to tonk few that is why he went out early. I'm sure he is capable of more sensible inning if he was asked to go for every ball.

Soft dismissal!

Chacha was seeing the ball like a beach ball!

Got to say

These KPK guys look the business in their black kits and Muscle men. They have some serious looking dukes in this side!

Thing with Asif is that he came out of nowhere topping the whiteball charts in the new domestic structure.

He is older than some of the other guys which are preferred and might not be as agile in the field but, in terms of his domestic whiteball performances he is right at the top and and is a handy lower order batsman as well.

Doubt he is even in the national radar so thought even without suggesting him to be selected atleast worth mentioning his performances.

Its looking like irrespective of what he does, his career will finish at domestic level and wont reach the next level because, a spinner cant do more than what he did in last year, year and a half on flat surfaces.

Yes even Musadiq is a big ball striker.

KPK has two really good young upcoming whiteball batsmen as well alongside their currently heavy whiteball lineup in Aamir Azmat and Mohammad Haris. Aamir was rated by Razzaq last year and this year in 2nd XI T20 cup he has scored 50 (30), 85 (59), 97 (64). I dont think Aamir is in the Nat T20 squad but, a decent prospect.

I find Balochistan team weakest. They should have a couple more good T20 players

Balochistan seems to be a completely neglected region. All of their good players are from other regions, and they are still such a terrible side!

Asif Afridi too good for these sorry Balochistan batsmen!

Southern Punjab has a couple of decent T20 players but they are even performing worse than Balochistan. SP lacks good bowlers and Balochistan lacks good batsmen.

People in Pakistan want more than 6 teams, but we aren't even able fill in these teams with decent players!

I think division of experienced T20 international players could have been bit better especially for Bal and SP. Bal has few internationally experienced players but, none of them have much of T20Is experience. SP on the other hand lacks international experience as a whole with no player even with 50 international matches across the formats.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa registered their fifth win of the National T20 as they outclassed Balochistan by 55 runs in the 15th match of the tournament played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Saturday evening.

Set a 203 run target (most for the ongoing tournament), Balochistan limped to 147 for nine in their allotted 20 overs. Sohail Akhtar was the only one to give a decent fight to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bowlers as the right-hander hit five sixes and two fours in his 61 off 43 balls

Opener Abdullah Shafique with 24, Haris Sohail and Umaid Asif with 17 runs each were the only other batters to reach double figures.

Balochistan had crashed to 83 for seven in their chase before Sohail brought some late-order fight to narrow the defeat margin for his side.

All-rounder Asif Afridi (player of the match) took three wickets for only eight runs from his wily left-arm-spin. Fast bowler Arshad Iqbal took three wickets for 16 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets for 30 runs.

Earlier, Balochistan’s makeshift captain Bismillah Khan won the toss and opted to field. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa openers Israrullah and Mohammad Rizwan cut loose after a cautious start. Israrullah was dismissed by Amad Butt for 19 with the wicket falling at 43.

Rizwan added 37 with Sahibzada Farhan before falling to Kashif Bhatti for 40 (34 balls, five fours, one six). Asif who was promoted as a pinch-hitter scored 16 off four balls (two sixes, one four).

Iftikhar Ahmed carried the momentum with a blazing 36 off 18 balls (four fours, two sixes). Farhan top-scored for the side with 43 off 31 balls (five fours, one six).

Musadiq Ahmed and Adil Amin added 42 for the unbroken sixth-wicket partnership to propel KP past the 200-run mark. Musadiq remained unbeaten on 17 while Adil scored 26 off 13 (three fours, one six).

Kashif Bhatti took two wickets for Balochistan.

Scores in Brief:

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Balochistan by 55 runs.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 202 for 5, 20 overs (Sahibzada Farhan 43, Mohammad Rizwan 40, Iftikhar Ahmed 36; Kashif Bhatti 2-34)

Balochistan 147 for 9, 20 overs (Sohail Akhtar 61 not out, Abdullah Shafique 24; Asif Afridi 3-8, Arshad Iqbal 3-16)
