Kudos to Misbah-ul-Haq and Dean Jones for giving chances to youngsters!

Impressive that they are providing much needed exposure to the youngsters on the brink of National selection.
Just wish they would give a chance to all those who haven't yet featured in the tournament. Hopefully in the next game as it's a dead rubber for them.
 
Deano is very innovative and flexible too, and seems to have a few tricks up his sleeve when needed.
 
Credit where it's due. Hated IU for the first two seasons where they played oldies and TTFs all the time but this season they've become one of my favourites. Only IU and the Qalandars have given fair exposure to upcoming, deserving Pakistani players.

And hes doing a good job at it.

When he bats people say he doesnt promote youngsters and doesnt give them opportunities.

When he gives trust in youngsters to finish matches, people still complain.
 
I've never been a fan of Misbah's conservative ways .. but hard to not give him credit here - with both the team combination and promoting the yongsta beauties

Lol at Kudos to Misbah. If he had his way he'd still be playing all his friends. His geezer squad failed miserably last year. The selection was taken away from him this year.

Yes any time Misbah's team wins it's because he wasn't involved and when the team loses, it's his fault. Ma Sha Allah :uakmal

I take it you know this as you are an expert apart of the management , u were consulted and informed of who is now selecting the squad

Lol they were champions in 2016 and have the 2nd highest win/loss % overall in PSL but what does Misbah know? Let's make "Chief Destroyer" the captain of IU. Or the chairman of PCB. Or ruler of the world.

Last year was 2017 in case you've forgotten.
 
This time the squad selection was right.May be deanse just did it.It is a pleasant surprise for me that this team have youngsters playing regularly.
 
Credit where due. IU has given chances to youngsters in the last few games.

However, I am not sure if Misbah is behind putting the trust in youngsters. Given his track record, i believe it is Dean jones who is making these calls.

Having said that, if Misbah is indeed behind these selections, then he deserves appreciation just the way he is criticised when oldies are selected.
 
I dont think I've seen Misbah bat in this PSL yet (I have not been watching every game). He seems to be there as a team mascot. Whatever he is doing is working though.
 
Kudos to Dean Jones, team is winning even with one player short----Misbah, who has no role or business in the team and PSL.

Haven’t followed the psl- but did they play Sahibzada Farhan in their games?
 
Raees was having Islamabad win easily as well, nothing to do with the captaincy of Misbah here. On form he should not be in the team.

It's T20 cricket. Anyone can be captain. The bigger thing is his overall influence and leadership which is apparent.

Apparent in what way? The fact under two other players IU still smashed the opposition should tell you how much his influence matters.

When they play with him they play with ten men. His batting is a shambles now and that's not his fault, its age.

at the start not regularly. I think he opened once, made 12, was dropped, picked again for on match, then dropped, then picked again batting at 6 for two games before being dropped again. He was picked again recently due to Misbah's injury and to my pleasant suprise opened and made 29 that showed glimses of his quality especially a beautiful straight 6 off Mills who has a proper pace.
 
Some credit is due but is due but people are going OTT.

ISU have been hoarding the best young players in Pak, its a no brainer that they should play.

They mainly deserve credit for Shadab who came out of no where.

Talat however was only picked last PSL after injuries and the likes of Chaca Rafath failing

Farhan has been dropped and picked every second game, he has been batting at 5 or 6 in some cames . Only reason he played last game was due to Misbah's injury
